Great book of the German language
This is an amazing book and outlines the structure of the German language in simplistic terms. It can be used as a learning tool or simply as a reference book. I have previous knowledge of the German language and found it invaluable for catching up. I particularly like the format where every topic starts on a fresh page and there are also loads of examples to enthasise the various points. Retailed at a very realistic price plus you are also provided with various links. One of which is a pdf of the book.

Self-published and not rigorous enough
This book is self-published, not from a respectable publisher. The author's claims about his professional experience are not impressive: 300 pupils is not very many. Although the text is clear and useful on some points, it can be vague about some things. This isn't what I was looking for because I don't agree with the author's approach. I do want to read *about* the language and thoroughly understand the structures of grammar instead of trying to speak it too soon without understanding how it works. Being badly taught like that at school put me off German for a long time.

Wonderful!
This might be the best book to learn and understand German quickly and comprehensively. It really covers all there is to know about German grammar and it is explained very concisely, and yet understandably. I wish, the author and his team work on a vocabulary book too. Highly recommended!

Helpful for beginners and intermediate learners

The Best Way to Learn German Thoroughly
Dr. Alexander Pühringer has found a terrific way to teach German methodically and thoroughly, pointing out the latest conventions as German has evolved today. As an American who started learning German in Pennsylvania from the age of nine, continuing through college, and now refreshing my skills at sixty, I find Dr. Pühringer‘s methods very helpful. I own, and highly recommend his entire series of books- „ausgezeichnet“!
