Great Performance
Fairly easy to setup. Much better signal performance and speed than previous W-Fi router. Works in distant rooms without extenders. And looks good!

Best 2in1 wifi modem
CAX Modem Review: Reliable Performance and Impressive Speed and save on ISP rental fees As an avid internet user who relies heavily on a stable connection for both gaming and entertainment, I recently decided to upgrade my modem and went with the CAX modem. After using it for a few months, here’s my take on this device. Design and Setup: The CAX modem has a sleek, modern design that fits well in my home office setup. It's compact, which is great for saving space, and the LED indicators are clear and intuitive, giving you an immediate status update on your connection. The setup process was surprisingly easy; I followed the instructions included in the box, and I was online within 20 minutes. The modem is compatible with most major ISPs, making it a versatile choice for different users. Performance: Where the CAX modem truly shines is in its performance. With my previous modem, I often encountered buffering issues and dropped connections during high usage times and packet loss. However, since switching to the CAX, I’ve experienced significantly faster speeds, particularly when streaming 4K content or gaming online. The modem supports DOCSIS 3.1, which allows for lightning-fast download speeds, and I can confidently say it lives up to its promises. Connectivity: The CAX modem features multiple Ethernet ports, which is a fantastic addition for anyone with multiple wired devices. The Wi-Fi range is impressive as well; I’ve noticed a stable connection even in rooms that previously had weak signals. This feature has been extremely beneficial for my family, enabling seamless browsing and streaming on multiple devices without any lag. Value for Money: With its robust performance and modern features, the CAX modem is reasonably priced, especially considering the cost savings on rental fees from ISPs. If you’re a heavy internet user, investing in a quality modem like this can lead to significant long-term savings. Conclusion: Overall, the CAX modem has exceeded my expectations. Its design is user-friendly, setup is a breeze, and its performance is flawless. For anyone looking to enhance their home network experience, the CAX modem is certainly worth considering.

Works Great
It was easy to set up and works great. I replaced an older model ARRIS with a new one. The new ARRIS didn't work at all, and would not connect to the internet. So, I tried the NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK CAX30. It is fast and connects well to Cox with no issues.

Failed Modem Router. Netflix did NoT replace
Worked for almost 4 weeks then just failed while watching tv, had and xfinity technician come to my house and confirmed the router modem had failed, and would no longer work, spent over an hour a half with Netgear on the phone trying to get them to replace it, they kept going round and round with me and the xfinity technician trying to get the failed modem to work al the while the technician kept telling the Netgear representative it was no good and faulty over and over and the technician got fed up and just left, which the Netgear customer service rep then called an xfinity customer service rep and ran them around in circles in a 3 way call as the xfinity rep kept telling the Netgear rep that it “could not” get online with it because it was faulty and could not get a signal and that xfinity rep got fed up too and hung up, tired of going around in circles trying to get a replacement from Netgear for their faulty 4 week old modem that I just got fed up and tired of going round and round in circles with Netgear over the phone that l finally gave up and hung up and just drove to my nearest xfinity store and just got one of their modems, came home and hooked it up and things were working fine with the xfinity modem. $244.00 down the tubes and I will NEVER purchase another Netgear item again as long as I shall live due to their customer service. Netgear You Suck!!!

Exceeded expectations, awesome modem /router.
Awesome modem/router combo. Finally getting the most out of my 1 gig connection. Automatic resolution up across all my streaming services and everything loads so much faster. Also no more modem rental. Wirelessly on my Galaxy s25 Ultra I'm getting over 800 MB a second in a different room through a wall. My PC with the added Nighthawk USB receiver gets similar speeds. And my 2019 LG OLED 4K Smart TV has also seen a significant performance upgrade especially in the quality of the upscaling. Highly recommended you can't go wrong with this device. Picture included was measured with the Okla speed test app on my s25 ultra through one wall. Thoroughly impressed, well worth the money. Oh and it was shipped well, box came undamaged and quickly through UPS.

Nice equipment; spotty customer service
I am not a techy person, so I wanted something simple. I must say, I do love my Netgear CAX30 cable modem combo. It was so easy to set up, using the written instructions in the box, that even I was able to do it myself. I'm finally getting the fast internet that I've been paying Xfinity for! My wifi signal is strong and covers my entire 6,000 sq ft lot, including my ranch house with basement, front and back yards. I decided to purchase their Netgear Armor plan because they were offering a year of it for just $50. I'll decide if I want to keep it after a year. Unfortunately, this CAX30 is already a few years old, so I won't be getting updates for more than a couple more years. But I think that will be okay if I keep the Armor security plan. Meanwhile, it works great. However, I will say that their customer service is pretty bad. They do answer their phone fairly quickly, but their English is terrible. You'll spend a lot of time just trying to be understood and understanding them.

Fast, reliable modem‑router combo that handles heavy streaming and uploads
I bought this modem and router combo about a year ago, and it’s been solid from day one. My internet stays fast and stable, and I haven’t had any random dropouts or slowdowns. I consistently get over 250 Mbps, which lets me upload long videos to YouTube while streaming at the same time without any issues. The setup was simple, the connection has been reliable, and the speeds are exactly what I need for heavy daily use. After a full year, I’m still very happy with this combo — it’s been one of the best upgrades I’ve made for my home internet

Very good
I am using it with Xfinity wifi services and this works perfectly fine, easy to set up, no need for technical support, and I think design is so good, signal strength perfect, I recommend this product to other users, but always check your wifi provider requirements in your area.
