Fun and Effective Training Tool for Outdoor Potty Training
We added this silicone fire hydrant to our yard to help guide our pup during potty training, and it’s honestly been a helpful and funny little addition. ⸻ 👍 What Works • Eye-catching and familiar shape: Our dog noticed it immediately, and the hydrant shape really does seem to cue him in—it’s like he instinctively knows it’s “his spot.” • Durable silicone: It’s soft enough to be safe if bumped, but heavy enough that it doesn’t tip over easily in the wind or when he gets a little too excited. • Weather-resistant: We’ve had rain and some direct sun, and it still looks new. No fading, and nothing’s cracked or warped. ⸻ 🔄 What to Know • Takes consistency: We had to lead him to it for a few days before it clicked—don’t expect magic on day one. • Might need a weight or anchor: Depending on your setup or the size of your dog, you might want to weigh it down just a bit more. ⸻ 🐾 Final Thought This is a playful, smart way to guide your dog’s potty habits, especially for male dogs. It’s a little silly, but it works—and it’s held up well. Glad we tried it!

Perfect for a boy dog who likes to lift
This little red hydrant saved my walls and baseboards. It’s small but if you have a small dog it’s perfect. My dog weighs about 5 pounds and he loves lifting and doing his business. I own two of these hydrants. I stuffed them both with plastic bags so they don’t fall over. Great quality and easy to clean.

Too small
Tiny! Itty bitty!

Target practice for your boy!
We have a mini Aussie and he loves to take tiny pee breaks so he uses a pad. But his issue is that he only goes on one side of the pad. So we got this to help him aim and we can move it around so he uses the full pad. However after he uses it maybe three times, it gets an odor. I wish there was a charcoal layer to prevent that. Otherwise it works fantastic! The seal at the bottom is SEALED! Easily cleanable. Lightweight. Great training tool!

Doggie Hydrant
Does my dog use this? No! Does it look cute in the yard next to his potty area? Yes! 5-stars 😂

Cute Hydrant, Not Scented, and Pricey for a Silicone Product
Look wise, it gets 4 stars, but it was quite expensive for just a molded piece of silicone, so I gave it a 3 star rating. I also thought it would have a scent for dogs to want to pee on it, but it doesn't. Honestly, it's a hit or miss for our dog using the hydrant to pee on. He is paper trained and couldn't keep it on the paper, so I thought he would use the hydrant consistently if I placed it in the middle of the paper. Sadly, he doesn't. Hydrant is cute though!! We bought the gray.

Works well
A little overpriced. Very lightweight I suggest putting sand in it if you have larger dogs. This is a small one. I like it because you can rinse it off well. It is thick material. I use for my Chihuahuas inside the house on PP pads.

Perfect for my 12 pound chihuahua.
Our senior dog who is not seeing well anymore cannot seem to get off the deck to do his business in the dark. He likes to lift his leg on something so I though it would be cute to use the fire hydrant! I tried filling it with water to give it some weight, but it seemed to just leak out and I couldn’t ever get a dent out of it when filled with water. Then I filled it with about a cup of sand. that did the trick. It stands perfectly well on its own and does not tip over easily. If it is filled with water or just empty, I cannot say that it is sturdy. At first our pup wouldn’t use it. I did as instructions said and got his scent on it (I just rolled it in a puddle of his urine). After a few days of me guiding him to it, I am happy to say that he does use this when it is dark outside. If it is daylight, he does prefer the real grass.

Very cute and hope it encourages my dog to go inside but as yet no luck he’s a slow learner 😀

This cute little silicone fire hydrant is an excellent “aim here” aid for a male dog when they need to relieve themselves. It’s an idea to pair it with magnet wall protectors or a tall barrier with the pee pad for sanitization in mind, unless your dog has better aim than my little senior. This lightweight potty aid is excellent for giving a male dog a visual cue of an ideal spot for nature’s call.

Great idea. However my dog wanted to play with it.

My dog learned to use his grass patch as soon as I put this on it! He always pees on it and it’s so cute!
