how long does this cushion last before it needs to be replaced

I usually get atleast a year out of each attachment. After 5 years I've only had 3 replacements so you can use them until the seal around the silicon comes away from the plastic.

Is the plastic shell with the silicone surround included. I have lost the clip in shell with silicone surround. Who knows how? unclipped to wash
