Ghostshield Lithi-Tek 9500 Ultra Concentrate - 1 Gallon (Makes 5 GALLONS) Penetrating Concrete Sealer, Waterproofer Plus Densifier

Was easy to apply with sprayer, soaked in, then re applied and let dry. Once dry there is a "whiteish" dust to sweep off then good to go. I did the floor in my 24 x 24 garage+ 2' apron+ outside edging of slab with one gallon! I would recommend! Time will tell as to how long it will last.

This is a very good DYI product. Moved into a 25 year old home with a very large exposed aggregate driveway, which had never been sealed. The driveway was showing signs of age with mold, stains, and typical discoloration. After obtaining proposals and quotes from contractors, I decided to do the work myself. I have used gloss surface coatings on other driveways, and while they looked great after the initial application, it was an annual project to maintain the results. LS 9500 provided the penetrating, chemical bonding sealer which would also strengthen the surface of the aggregate, that I was looking for.LS 9500 was easy to mix and apply, and I am very happy with results. Here are some tips to consider when using this product:1. Power wash and completely clean the surface using a bio-friendly concrete cleaner2. Remove all stains, oil spots, and any other surface contaminates using a commercially available concrete stain remover3. Plan to apply the product on a completely clean and dry surface, during a time with no wind and temperatures in the 70's (I found early mornings worked the best)4. Select a hand garden sprayer of your choice (A back pack sprayer can be used for a large area, but any size will do)5. Measure the amount of LS9500 per the instructions ( I used 4 plastic containers with equal amount LS9500; so each container could be mixed with each gallon of water6. Dress in long pants and work shoes, to avoid coming in contact with overspray7. Spray LS9500 mix in a evenly applied sweeping fashion, with just enough coverage to dampen (wet) the concrete (not so much as to puddle the surface)8. Work your way from your starting point to your finish point, keeping the concrete damp but not flooded9. LS9500 dries quickly, so if you need to use multiple sprayer refills just continue where you left off and repeat the application technique10. If some of the sealer starts to dry on the edges between refills it will be sealed, so minimize over-wetting these areas to reduce build up11. The treated surface will look darker while drying, and lighten as LS9500 cures over the next several hoursThe results were impressive. The appearance of aggregate, with a natural clear finish, made the driveway look much younger than it's age. Now that it is water proof, surface water dries quickly and it resists staining and mold much better than before. It was a good investment of my time and money, and it was an easy DYI project to accomplish. I hope this overview of my experience was helpful.

I used this product on my concrete basement floor which is 54 years old and after having issues with hydrostatic pressure and moisture seeping through.Made a surface water test and it just beaded up so hoping for the same from below but I won't know until the rainy season. So far it's working great with no moisture anywhere.

We had a particularly wet and windy winter this year and it's been about five years since we've cleaned the driveway and pavers side section. It took about 2 days to pressure wash the entire driveway area, roughly about 1,500 sq. feet. After doing extensive research about concrete sealing products, we selected GhostShield, Lithi-Tek 9500 Concrete Sealer concentrate. The product comes in a 1-gallon container that makes 5 gallons of product to apply to your project.After letting the driveway dry for a couple of days after washing it, we were ready to apply the Lithi-Tek 9500. Using a 1-gallon pump sprayer, we mixed 1 gallon at a time and applied the sealer in sections in order to follow the manufacturer's directions of a wet-on-wet application. The Lithi-Tek 9500 went on easy and soaked into the concrete quickly. The application process was easy and quick; we were able to finish the project within 90 minutes. The driveway and pavers remained their original color and we had no blotchy spots. We are very happy with the outcome.Once finished, clean-up was easy. With some warm water and soap, we pumped the water through the tank and sprayer head and the pump is ready for the next project.Some notes on the mixing and application process:Mixing: Follow the directions: add the 4 cups to your pump sprayer. Then, using the same measuring container, measure and add water, instead of just filling the pump to the 1 gallon mark to get the correct ratio.It would help if you have someone mix a batch as you go so you could maintain wet surfaces without interruptions to mix a new batch each time. Or use a larger sprayer. We only had the single 1-gallon.Application: It’s important to apply the second coat while the first coat is still wet. Otherwise, if it becomes dry, the second coat will bead-up on the surface rather than soak into the concrete.Lastly: I would recommend that if possible, apply the product when your surface is shaded or at it’s coolest temperature to give yourself time to maintain the wet-on-wet application process to ensure good sealing.The first two photographs are the cleaned driveway and cement pavers that were coated. The next two photographs are the test images. In both images, you can plainly see that the water beads up on the driveway beautifully. We will see how the product holds-up across the summer and into next winter. We have high hopes of an easy to clean driveway next Spring.
