Chinese Laundry Women's Riley Riding Boot

Was very skeptical about these boots because of the price. I was practically sending them back before they even came but what a surprise! Beautiful boots! The suede is beautiful quality! I ordered the "smoke" which is this great neutral browny, grey color - I just didn't want another pair of black boots so I gave these a try and am NOT disappointed! The over-the-knee boot is so trendy that I didn't want to spend a fortune on a boot I might not want to wear next year but I didn't want cheap junk either. These boots fit the bill! They are a flat boot so I can't say that they'd give great arch support but they are comfortable, no pinching or rubbing anywhere. I wear a 7 and ordered a 7, so true to size. I'm 5'7" , weigh 160lbs, wear a 12 in clothing. That being said, I have small calves and small ankles but I'm not a small girl. I can easily pull these boots up and wear them over skinny jeans with room to spare. The whole back of the boot is stretchy microfiber fabric the same color as the suede. There's a curve to the fabric to accommodate a fuller calf. My little chicken legs do not fill out this curve but it doesn't look bad either. A girl with heavier or athletic calves could wear these just fine. Been getting compliments on them since I got them and have been telling people where I got them.

I have been looking for an over the knee boot for months and have looked everywhere. I am extremely picky about quality and fit and I love these boots. I am 5'-5" and they fit perfectly above the knee and fit snugly with jeans. I can imagine that they would be a bit big with tights or leggings. The shoe is not padded but it fits comfortably. I have a pair of very expensive boots that look almost just like this but have a heel. I wanted a flat pair to wear casually with sweaters and jeans and this is definitely the shape and style I have been looking for. The back is a elastic jersey material which I was not sure how I would feel about but I think it is perfectly fine now that I see it. The front of the boot is a soft dark black suede. It is not a dry scratchy suede but a soft nicer looking suede.I could spend a lot more and get a bit better quality but for casual jeans and a sweater boot this is ideal!

The boots are nice, but they are a bit tight in the toe box. And while they fit nicely in the calf and knee area, they are very hard to get on and off. If they were easy to take on and off, I probably would have dealt with the tighter toe box and just tried to break them in. I just can't have that kind of inconvenience for only the sake of fashion.

Best boots I have ever bought! I had them for 2 years and held up just fine until last week. I also wore these like 4 times a week; walked across my college campus; wore in light rain; traveled to Colorado in these and walked up and down steep hills, gravel, rocky roads. And now 2 years later they still look very nice, minimal damage (yes, really), minimal wear. Also, these keep your legs really warm! The reason why I am replacing them now is because a friend borrowed them who has a different leg build than I do and stretched out the shaft of the boot. So now the boots sag on my legs which isn't the look I like. So if you're on the slim side, be careful to not let someone bigger than you borrow if you like the tight/snug style where the boot hugs your legs. Also, when you wear jeans wear socks over the bottoms of your jeans to prevent a bulge in the boot where the jeans will gather. BUY THESE!!!

For my girls with wider or more muscular calves - this is the boot you want. I'm not "skinny" by any means and always just assumed that I would never be able to get any type of over the knee boots well, over my knees. I decided to take a chance with these because of the brilliant sale price. Pleasantly surprised, not only does this bypass my knee, it goes up reaching my thighs! So incredibly happy and impressed. Probably because of my wide calves, I have no problem with "sagging". The knee doesn't really "fall" much. If anything, I would say it maybe falls just about an inch because of walking. The suede feels amazing, I love the texture - it's smooth and doesn't feel cheap in my opinion. Admittedly, I think the back side could have been a nicer material BUT, I feel like if it wasn't this particular material, these boots wouldn't have had the slightest chance of going as high up my leg as they do - so I've come to embrace the back side.I am usually a size 9.5 - 10 depending on the shoe, but for this I purchased a 9.5. I probably would have been better off with a 10, but I bought the 9.5 because it was significantly cheaper at the time of purchase. The 9.5 isn't an extremely tight squeeze, it actually seems just right. But if I had gotten a 10, I think the slight bit of room would have been nice for thicker socks. But the 9.5 hasn't caused any problems for me other than the fact that it takes some patience to get the boots on - but I feel like all pull up, over the knee style boots have some type of difficult when putting on and taking off. LOVE THESE!

Very expensive but poor quality. They are lovely when you see them but there is no support in the soles and it fits poorly. I don't have very skinny legs but I found these boots drooping and slouching down my legs. I kept having to pull them up. It looks awful because the slouching makes them look awful - especially with a skirt.

Lovely and 100% over the knee. Too bad it was shipped one size bigger than my size. I ordered 37 but received 38. I am buying size 37 as soon as it is back in stock. Can't wait to match it with oversized sweater on a snowy day.

Have wanted an over the knee pair of boots for awhile. Tried these due to the low heal for walking and they're great!
