Insta360 Ace Pro 2/Ace Pro/Ace Vertical-Horizontal Mount

Firstly, this product is extremely well constructed from high grade aluminium (not plastic as it may appear from the pictures). It fits my Insta360 Ace Pro 2 like a glove and once installed correctly is very strong and solid with no risk of falling off! Now, this brings me to the negative & 1 star reviews on Amazon, as well as some other places. I'm sorry to say this but, these are simply down to people not fitting the item correctly. I have easily replicated the "problem" that they perceive the device has. i.e. that 2 of the 4 grips do not lock into the camera and therefore the camera & Horizontal mount can come apart. The simple fact is that you need to push the mount onto the camera base until it gives a clear click. However, This does NOT adequately engage the 2 connectors nearest the curve of the L shape mount. You need to then squeeze the camera and mount together again but with the force very firmly applied directly above the "loose" pair of connectors until you hear a distinct 2nd click. At this point the mount should be perfectly fitted. You can test this easily by pulling at the Vertical arm of the mount (the part that covers the camera battery slot). It should feel completely solid. If there is ANY movement away from the camera then it is not fitted correctly and you need to repeat the process. I hope this helps you if you've already got one of these mounts and thought it was faulty. It probably isn't! I almost didn't purchase this item due to the negative reviews. I'm so glad I decided to "take a punt". As now I can use the camera as I intended.

Really slim attachment to my Ace Pro 2. Easily rotate between portrait and landscape road which is great for making content on my motorcycle. Such good value.

I was really looking forward to expanding my creative possibilities with the Insta360 Ace/Ace Pro Vertical-Horizontal Mount, especially since capturing both vertical and horizontal formats is essential for today’s social media-driven content creation. However, I was disappointed to discover that this mount does NOT fit the new 360 Ace Pro 2. This incompatibility is a real let down, as the Ace Pro 2 is an impressive piece of equipment that deserves a fully compatible accessory to maximize its potential. The idea behind the mount was brilliant—it promises to let users effortlessly switch between shooting orientations to better suit different platforms and creative needs. Unfortunately, this feature now remains out of reach for those who have upgraded to the Ace Pro 2. The ability to take different format pictures is a highly valuable function, especially in an era where both portrait and landscape visuals are in demand. It would have been a significant enhancement for content creators, offering a flexible shooting experience that aligns with current digital trends. While the mount works flawlessly with older models, its failure to accommodate the Ace Pro 2 is a notable oversight. This limitation not only curtails creative versatility but also forces users like me to look for alternative solutions, potentially increasing both costs and the complexity of our gear setups. The absence of forward compatibility undermines what could have been an incredibly useful accessory for those invested in the latest technology. In summary, although the Insta360 Ace/Ace Pro Vertical-Horizontal Mount is well-built and functional for previous models, its lack of compatibility with the Ace Pro 2 is a significant drawback. The opportunity to capture varied format images with the Ace Pro 2 would have been an excellent addition, and I hope future iterations of this accessory address this gap for a more comprehensive, user-friendly experience.

Fits as it should, keeps the camera secure in both landscape or portrait on the front of my motorcycle helmet. It comes with different thickness rubber pads that keep the camera even more secure.

Nice and sturdy mount, feels high quality. I can easily switch between vertical and horizontal.

Ho provato vari adattatori e supporti per la mia Insta360 e devo dire che fanno davvero la differenza per ottenere video sempre al top. La qualità costruttiva è solida, e la versatilità degli accessori ti permette di montare la fotocamera praticamente ovunque, dai treppiedi alle aste per selfie o supporti più creativi. I materiali sono resistenti e permettono di mantenere la fotocamera stabile anche durante le riprese più dinamiche. Inoltre, la facilità di montaggio e smontaggio è un punto a favore, soprattutto quando si è in movimento. Un altro vantaggio è la capacità di adattarsi a diverse situazioni: che tu stia facendo riprese in movimento o registrando da angolazioni particolari, questi supporti riescono a mantenere la macchina ben posizionata senza compromettere la qualità del video. Se sei un videomaker o qualcuno che vuole sempre il massimo dalla propria Insta360, questi adattatori e supporti sono un must per avere riprese stabili e professionali.

Acabo de recibir esta montura vertical, y al principio me ha costado un pillarle el truco para que encaje bien y no se desmonte de la camara. La clave esta en presionar lo mas cerca posible del angulo de la “L” para que asi encaje bien esos dos primeros botones de los 4 si lo haceis asi no tendreis problema. En la instrucciones no lo explican asi pero lo he probado y queda 100% segura

When first putting it on it was not fitting right then i forced it on and then it wouldn’t come off till i squeezed the buttons with channel locks to pull it off!! I was pissed at first but after that it worked perfectly putting on and taking off at ease and stays on tight

This little “L” bracket is perfect. Other reviews had me a little nervous about its fit, but I decided to gamble, and won. Yes it fits tightly. Very tightly. This isn’t a bad thing. Several reviews show it not fitting squarely and thus allowing the camera to fall off. A simple, and firm squeeze will solve that problem. I would much rather have a solid, unshakeable mechanical connection that takes effort to achieve, than one that is easy to achieve and allows the camera to rattle around like a coffee bean in a tin can. This bracket is also lighter and less “bulky” than the full cage system available.
