Review: Good quality - Nice dvd Review: The Movies is transferred as 4:3 - There is no doubt about the movie, and need to say about it. I would like to share something about the Blu-Ray Disc. Movie transferred (or can say recorded) as 4:3 aspect ration. It is not pure 4:3, it is transferred as 16:9 but movie screen is 4:3, so you will see black strips on both sides(left/right). In the movie we can see the logo few times which is going outside of movie (on the black strips which are on sides). But the transfer quality is amazing, I wish if all gems movies like Sholay, Deewar, Trishul, Kala Patthar etc release on Blu-Ray.

I bought the movie because of the nature's scenes, Amitabh's dialog, poetry delivery, and the song (kabhi kabhie). It was well worth it. I didn't like the rest of the movie except kabhi kabhie dialog in an interview, and Amitabh's dialog to Shashi Kapoor about badi himmat chahiye ... The blu-ray also made lot of songs very scenic. I moved to US in the 80s when everything was on VHS and copied by the store owners many times. By the time we got the rented tape and watched it, it was hard to make out any faces. I stopped watching many movies until the mid 90s when DVDs came out. Everyone in college were fond of Kabhi Kabhie because of the songs. It was fun watching it again.

Fall in love with love
I watched this movie after reading that it inspired many Bollywood actors (including SRK). Kabhi Kabhi has a little bit of everything - love, young love, dreamy love, love denied, and developing love. Although the movie is on the long side, the story keeps one involved and entertained. Compared to more recent movies, the special effects are very dated; however, the love stories of the main characters are engaging. Take a chance on love and watch Kabhi Kabhi.

Kabhi Kabhie
A film that was ahead of it time, as mentioned by Yash Chopra and a daring move that Amitabh had made from this 'Young Angry Man" to this romantic lead. Such a soft film that deals not with anger but with the Heart and the lives of people. All the cast, Waheeda Rehman, Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Rakhee, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were great in there roles and a special appearance from Iftikhar. This was an era when Bollywood started to change and talents such as Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh were raiding and exploding on screen, Amitabh too.
