Good quality

I am writing this review after using this idli steamer for a week. The pros and cons are : Pros:- 1. The quality of the steamer is good. Its stainless steel and can be used on both gas stove and induction. 2. On induction stove , we need to maintain the temperature between 100-500'C for 10mins. Idlis come out well. 3. For this price it's a very good product. I used the vessel for boiling some veggies without using the idli plates. It worked fine. Cons:- 1. Once the steam is formed the lid tends to open up. We have to press it back at intervals. This is an issue. 2. The whistle alone is not enough for the steam to escape. Planning to put a small hole opposite to the whistle so that the steam can escape.

Perfect item for idli maker

I’ve been using this Lifelong 3-plate idli cooker for about 4 months now, and we make idlis almost every week at home. The size is good and makes 12 decent-sized idlis in one go, which is perfect for a small family. I also liked that it works on induction as well as gas. The hook provided to lift the idli plates is very convenient and makes it easy to assemble and remove the plates after steaming. The idlis turn out soft and the size is quite satisfying. For the price, it does justify what it offers. However, there are a few small things to note. The plates and base feel slightly thin. Also, the holes cut in the idli plates are not very smooth, so you need to be careful while taking the plates out, as the edges can scratch your fingers. The whistle also feels a bit unnecessary, or maybe I haven’t fully figured out its purpose yet. Overall, it’s a good budget-friendly idli cooker that does the job well, but just be a little careful while handling the plates.

Received Lifelong idli cooker from Amazon delivery boy. When I seeing the box I am disappointed because there is no Amazon sticker wrap around the box. Simply seller dispatch with ordinary box without any Amazon tag or buying voucher of the buyers. If this practice doing frequently by this seller reputation of Amazon may be decline. Please instruct to sellers to aware in future. Items looks good however handles making materials is not good made by hard plastic it looks simple and cheap otherwise everything will be fine.

As such product is good. But few things to note: 1. Opening lid can't be opened by one hand and u hold the main pot by one hand and if u try to open the lid by another hand, it just tilt, won't open. Need 3 hand. Requesting God to provide it. 2. The idli is of small size. Shallow. And no specification on description makes u buy on guess.

Very good product and delivery boy is very sweet

Bottom surface isn't very hard but can handle the pressure of heat. If too much heat is on, then the cooker bottom surface will get red burns inside and outside. So, make sure you handle the cooker on minimal heat. Cooking time of exactly 12–14 minutes is enough to cook idlies. Lifelong Idli Cooker comes with 3 plates, though it produces small-sized idlies. Durability completely depends on how you're going to maintain the cooker. Cook on medium heat. Quality of the steel is medium range. It doesn't come with a heavy coating surface at the bottom, but it will still work on an induction base. Don't overpress the lid, otherwise, it won't come off easily after cooking. The best part is the stand of the plates is made of steel. Why this is best is because if the idli stand is made of plastic, the idlies will smell of plastic because of the heat. So complete steel is the better one. We can clean easily, value for money. Suites for small family.
