Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 - Wireless Earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation – Bluetooth Headphones - Porcelain

I love these! They are a perfect pairing with my Pixel 9a phone. The noise cancellation is very good indeed. Holding a hands-free phone call while walking along London streets on a very breezy day was near flawless, the caller and I able to hear and understand clearly. The Buds are very light and it is easy to forget you're wearing them! The audio quality is good too, with good High, Mids and Bass quality, surprising from such compact units. Despite their cost these really are good value for money given that they do everything they're sold to do and with such good quality. The Case has built in speaker that is of great help when using Find Hub to locate which coat pocket you've left them in (or is that only me?). Superb devices. If you're considering them then just go buy them now! Theyr'e that good.

I bought these as I lost my beloved Bose earbuds and could not face spending that much money again! Having a Google phone and watch, they seemed a better-valued alternative. I don't regret my decision. I am not an audiophile, but I found the sound quality and noise cancellation very good. I do mostly listen to audiobooks, however. I often use them in a noisy workshop (under a proper industrial ear-protecting headset) to listen to stuff while I sand or use the table saw. They work well on the train, tube etc. I found them easier to use than the Bose - much more reliable when being tapped to pause audio, answer calls, change the level of noise cancellation. I love the advanced features, like switching off the noise cancellation automatically when it detects I am talking to someone. Battery life seems fine, but I do plug it in each evening to recharge, so it doesn't get much opportunity to run down. I don't think I've ever gone below 80% charge in the power pack.

I've only had these a week and the juries out. I have tried every combination of buds supplied but they still feel like they are loose and might drop out any minute, I think it's the shape of the buds, I previously used Jabra and their buds were shaped differently and never felt loose at all. Because of the fit problem, I can hear slight background noise all the time, not too much but enough that it is annoying The controls for sound level and next track etc as usual take time to be second nature to use but they are easy enough to use as long as you only lightly touch the surface and don't prod it hard. The battery seems v.good and lasts a good few hours, and I find the sound very good as you can alter the bass/trble etc to suit your tastes which is a bonus. I am going to persevere and hope the buds might 'settle in' in a couple of weeks and then I would give them 5 stars.

I am a total audiophile amd cannot stand back speakers and headphones. I have tried so many over the years and am someone that has music on all the time. I have had a pair of these since Christmas (over three months) and they are the best earbuds / headphones I have ever had. The Pro buds are more expensive than others, but in my opinion, totally worth it if sound quality is important to you. For reference, I was previously using a pair of Bose, over the ear, noise cancelling headphones. SOUND QUALITY Firstly and most importantly, the sound quality is amazing. I listen to anything from heavy rock, dance, classical and anything in between amd these make everything sound amazing. I also listen to meditations, podcasts as well as TV and movies and I really enjoy the sound, whether is it the clarity of people speaking or the base of music, it balances it really well. NOISE CANCELLATION Again, best of all the earphones I have ever had. I have a partner that snores (like a tractor) and these have been a gamechanger for even that!! There are four settings. I mainly use the noise cancelling, but the transparency setting is great as a woman walking alone as it plays whatever you are listening to, but also amplifies sound around you, so you can hear people speaking or movement, keeping you safe and aware. You also have an adaptive setting, so it changes depending on the noise around you, but I haven't used that much. COMFORT I am very fussy with comfort (neurodivergent) and also normally have real issues keeping inner ear buds in my ears, but these I barely notice, they fit so well. I where them several hours every day, at least. You get four choices of bud sizes. They come with the medium ones attached and have extra small, small and large in the box. I use the small ones. BATTERY LIFE Seems great to me. I haven't timed any of the charges, but I am sure I have only charged the case about once a month. The buds themselves seem to last and last and get topped up from the case every time they go away. The case has a little sound when you close the lid, when it is lower on charge, so you never get caught out. Simply wow! Background for me is, galaxy s24 FE phone. I have linkbuds s, galaxy buds2 pro and buds3 pro, Huawei freebuds pro 4. These sound insanely good, the anc is on par with the galaxy buds 3 pro which is a genuine surprise. Bluetooth connection is rock solid, le audio is available after a software update. This update was waiting and took 15 minutes to install, also gives you adaptive anc option, but I just have plain anc on. 3 hours of listening at 70%volume, aac codec, anc on and the buds are at 81%!!! That is simply mental battery life. 5 band eq, several presets, I chose "balanced" preset and just tweaked the bass up a little. I can not over emphasise how great these sound, these are going to be goto pair from now on. Twist fit works perfectly, upped the tips to the large and you literally don't know you're wearing them, superb. Tap controls are faultless. It takes a lot to impress me. But Google, you have played a blinder with these beauties. Wireless charging on my galaxy duo charger works perfectly. Paid £144 new on amazon black Friday, but at the normal £219 these are still worth it. Mind blown!

Returned them within a couple hours of receiving them. Loved the case and wireless charging and how seamlessly they coupled with my Pixel 9... BUT... They're earbuds and the bottom line is earbuds need to sound good, especially at this price. And they didn't. Far from it, in fact. I made sure I had a perfect seal in both ears, I tweaked the EQ, I re-twisted and re-seated the buds in my ears. Un-paired and re-paired. Nothing made any difference. The sound they produced was just flat, completely unexciting, and with so little bass I actually wondered if I had a faulty set. Then I looked on Reddit and it seems I'm far from alone. Some users reported sending 3-5 sets back because they also assumed they must've been unlucky and kept getting faulty units. This encouraged me to check out Google's dedicated help & faq site where I immediately noticed a message that read "Due to the latest device launch we are expecting higher than normal contact volume" - Gee, I wonder why that might be!? My Nothing Ear (a)'s absolutely blow these buds away when it comes to sound quality and they cost less than half the price. There's literally no comparison. In fact, even my budget set of Sony WF-C500 that I've owned for years sounded substantially more exciting and delivered more of a punch... And they only set me back about £40. I honestly got the impression Google were so focused on the design and all the clever Googley stuff they crammed into them, they forgot to pay attention to the one thing that matters most: How they sound. Also, no hi-res audio support (LDAC or otherwise) which surely is a must on a pair of buds in this price range in 2025. In short, a huge disappointment.

Comfortable. Very clear and active noise cancelling works. As I have a Pixel phone setup was automatic, instant and virtually foolproof. Very well made with excellent quality case/charger. Battery life seems good 4hrs use and loads of charge remaining.
