Compatible with BPT 200 analog series
Compatible with BPT YKP/200+YV. Instruction on the app is clear. Works well. Good price at 80 pounds when there was a promo. The compatibility checker says YKP/200 not compatible but YKP/200+YV compatible, a bit confusing. Customer support a bit rubbish, feels like talking to bots, keeps telling me mine is YKP/200 and not compatible (YKP/200 alone just does not exist). Installation is straight forward, intercom is usually low voltage, and I do not have a circuit breaker for intercom, loosing the terminal I did anticlockwise 720 degrees, just enough to allow ring wire to be inserted. Video quality is good enough, mine is black and white. For BPT 200 analog series, this should work (YVM200, agata VC 200 etc), and even a resistor is connected between terminal 3 and 4 (for video, usually end of line), adding ring doesn’t seem to affect the original functionalities. The wiring also indicates ring has ability to short circuit its C-3 and C-4 wires, since the UNLOCK wire C-5 is unused. It’s a shame ring doesn’t have an advanced mode to let user configure the wiring, as C-5 can be easily used with aux button for BPT systems, theoretically it can allow open two separate doors. Cannot comment on battery life yet.

It couldn't have been easier to install
Just installed the Ring Intercom Video to a Comelit 5701/5714 door entry system. It couldn't have been easier. The installation instructions were very clear and easy to follow and it worked first time! Highly recommended. I was very impressed with how easy it was to follow the instructions.

It works...eventually!
Works but not quite out of the box...I have a similar setup to one of the below reviewers, i.e. an Elvox 6329C (due fili) intercom which opens 2 different doors using the same button (checked via the compatibility tool and all ok). The installation was pretty straightforward, connected 2 of the wires of the device to my intercom terminals (where the other wires were), but I ran into two issues immediately. First, my building has two doors that open with the same button; the Ring app would recognize the ringing from both doors but only open the first one every time (regardless of the door from which you rang from). Second, every time I unlocked the door, the intercom line would stay 'busy' for 15 seconds because the Ring wasn't hanging up properly, blocking any other calls. The resolution came from going back and forth with support (escalation to engineering) for over a week (hence why I'm knocking off 1 star). The official, documented solution for this is to contact Ring Customer Support so they can manually configure your device's profile for a "ring-to-open, multi-door system." If your system is "context-aware", it only opens the "calling door"). The standard Ring Intercom profile is not; it just learns one command and repeats it. Your account must be flagged by their engineering team to handle this specific logic. Eventually, now it works as expected (both audio and video). After contacting the engineering team, I now have multiple buttons in the app (answer call, hang up call, open door, mute, etc.) which allow me to perform all functions of my physical handset. Those were not available by default when I first installed the device... So don't give up and return the product, if compatibility checker says it should work, it likely just needs a software profile update (which they'll do remotely).

works as expected, although mines a newer generation.
after looking at various online unboxing etc, I decided to grab one that is currently (as on 29/08/2024) £59.99 (40% off). I noticed unlike the online unboxing videos, I notice there's no longer three cables, and instead just one. it is however a flat ribbon cable (this doesn't bother me, but for those that it does bother, it might be worth getting some small flat trunking to clean it up a bit) installation is simple enough, the cables are coloured and labelled (c-1,c-2,c-3 etc) and as long as you have triple checked your model number of intercom, it's as simple as loosening the terminals and inserting the already prepared wire ends. For me I have a Videx system, and the 3011 handset came in three types on the app. as a 4-wire, 5-wire, and smart. no label on my handset told me what version it was but after looking and counting, I had 5 wires. the instructions for the 5-wire and smart versions were exactly the same so I went for it. Once done, everything works as it should, the intercom at the front door, operates the same as it did before, the handset inside operates as it did before, the bonus now is, your mobile goes off and allows you to talk/unlock. there is another use for these... there has been times when both myself and my partner have shot out the door to empty the bin and forgot the key. Even if either of us is away, I can remotely unlock the lobby door. device sticks to the wall well with no issues. some users here have reported the device throwing 'errors'. this might actually not be down to the device itself. I have noticed, it will throw an error if the door is presently in the process of unlocking (from another flat). For me though, it will solve my issue of various delivery people not delivering parcels. I will fit a sticker on my front door along with a 'ring logo' on my number on the intercom faceplate (I have permission to do so) gone will be the days where they use trades button, knock my front door, I don't hear it or not in and they wander off with parcel in hand saying I wasn't in. the sticker will instruct them to press my intercom. which will activate ring. all in all a good product and worth the money if you can get it with 40% off.

Waste of time
A complete waste of time. My system has one button to open multiple doors. I checked the Ring website and Amazon page carefully for compatibility, there was even a helpful compatibility checker that asked me "Does your intercom open multiple doors?", "When you press the unlock button on your intercom does it open all doors at the same time?" & "How many unlock buttons does your intercom have?". Answering all these questions accurately, along with the Manufacturer & Model No. revealed "YES" my system is compatible. So after waiting for battery charge and then installing, I had followed every instruction and bit of advice to a tee, upon testing the device only opens one door. I call Ring to seek tech support. They tell me that the website clearly displays that it doesn't work for multiple doors...eh?! I have to repeat myself explained I used their compatibility checke but she tells me "yes this confirms it IS compatible but will only work with one door"......I feel I am being bamboozled. So I hang up and then re-check the Ring website - it mentions nothing about not working for multiple doors. Instead it says in the FAQ: " It depends on the brand and model of your existing intercom system. We recommend that you use the compatibility checker to confirm whether your intercom system supports this functionality." So they are talking rubbish, and they have wasted my time and I don't want them to waste yours. Proceed with caution, especially if you have more than one door!

It works!
Luckily my intercom is listed as compatible, so I bought it and installed it myself. It didn't take long, but I slowly and carefully did it, to make sure I do not cause problem to the intercom system. Ring app: Using the Ring app to talk to the intercom and open the door is easy enough. When someone buzz the intercom, the iPhone notification pops up a few seconds later. Only if I tap on the notification, I will be able to talk to the intercom. If I didn't tap on the notification, but go straight into the app, I can find nowhere to click to talk to the intercom. I think Ring needs to improve this app, add a button in the app so I can talk to the intercom even if I missed the iPhone notification. Using Siri of iPhone: Not supported? I cannot find a way to answer the intercom or open the door without pulling out my phone, tap on the notification then it takes me into the app. I cannot ask Siri to talk to the intercom, I cannot ask Siri to open the door. As I need to operate it from the phone, I cannot operate it while driving. Ring app does not support Apple CarPlay, and does not support Siri? Using Amazon echo dot speaker: This needs to get used to. I can say "Alexa, talk to <intercom name>" but I need to say "Alexa, stop" to terminate the conversation before I can say "Alexa, open the <intercom name>". Tell Alexa to open the door while still talking to the intercom is not possible. Can Alexa app answer the intercom and open the door hands free, while driving? I have not go a chance to test this yet. Overall I am happy that I can talk to the intercom and open the door while I am not home. If Amazon/Ring can improve the Siri support or Apple CarPlay support or handsfree support, that will be even better.

Good option for a London studio renter
I rent a zone two London basement flat, so the building/intercom is fairly old and basic (Videx push/buzz type). So the installation should never have been as easy as it was. Pros Works flawlessly (simple and intuitive) Comprehensive installation tutorial Everything you need for installation Pre installed sticky pads (no drilling) Vast compatibility 6 to 12 months Battery life (apparently) Currently bargain price (£38) No subscription Works with old systems Quality little screwdriver included Cons (with explanation) Poor cable management. (No obvious way to adjust wire length, or unneeded wires within the unit housing (without cutting)) No mains option (Although a battery makes it neater, it would have been nice to not have to remove the battery to charge) MICRO USB CABLE! (You know it's an Amazon product because it's still using a micro usb in 2025. Very slow charging) Not Matter compatible (Although Amazon is a "founder to the Matter project" Ring is not yet compatible. Meaning another app) Keeps pushing for Amazon access (Although my neighbours will let anyone into the building indiscriminately. Giving Amazon building access for all Amazon delivery is not something I want to be responsible for. Synopsis. As a London renter, I am amazed by the system compatibility, ease of installation/uninstallation, and functionality (without subscription). However, cable management, lack of Google home/Matter compatibility and aggressive push for building wide Amazon Delivery access, stops this from being perfect

Perfect Match for My Fermax 3315 - Solved Issues My Original System Never Could
I wasn’t sure if this Ring device would work with my Fermax 3315 intercom, but it ended up being 100% compatible with absolutely no issues. Installation was smooth and everything worked straight away. What really impressed me is how it fixed a long-standing problem. My original Fermax 3315 couldn’t stream video properly on its own screen, which was always frustrating. After installing this Ring device, I finally have a reliable video feed — and I can view it easily across my smart home. The video now appears instantly on all my Alexa devices, including my TV with an Amazon Fire Stick attached. It’s incredibly convenient to see who’s at the door from anywhere in the house. Notifications are fast, audio is clear, and the whole system feels modern and easy to use. This device genuinely made my life much easier and added a big boost in convenience and security. If you have a Fermax system (especially if your 3315 video wasn’t working properly), this Ring device works flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Installatie was relatief eenvoudig.

Makes your life so easy!
This Ring Video Intercom is amazing. For those who are interested here is my experience. I'm based in The Netherlands. At home I have Golmar - Tekna V2Plus Color intercom. When someone rings the bell downstairs, I should have been at home to answer. I installed Ring Video Intercom attached to my Golmar intercom. Now when someone rings the bell, the ring app at my phone rings. Once I answer, I can see and talk whomever is in front of building and if I want I can open the door via ring app on my phone even if I'm not at home. During installation, remember that your WiFi should be 2.4 not 5G. I attach my wiring setup to help you and save time. I definitely recommend this product for those who wants to open door to receive packages inside the building.
