A heavy but excellent phone for gaming or for those that need an unbreakable phone
The Outikel G1 Rugged Smartphone is a hefty phone that you will feel in the weight of your hand, (you get used to it), but with that comes a powerful and very durable phone. Durability: The phone is built like a brick and will be able to take a lot of damage. It is also waterproof to a good degree with a little cap to protect water going in the USB C port. Therefore this is a great phone for those that like to go camping or for any tradesperson on the job or for anyone with young kids. The battery is probably its best feature as this thing last a long, long time. I have never had the phone drop to less than 50 percent. So, if you keep finding you have a phone that runs low on battery a lot, then the Outikel G1 or any Outikel phone with a 10,000 amh battery is worth looking to get. Gaming: The phone has the ability to swap storage space (which is very plentiful) to add more ram. This means the phone is great for those that love to game. Initially, you will see the phone is insipid with its colours, but this changes anytime you use YouTube or games, where the colours are richer and the picture very crisp. Some negatives: as you would expect with a phone of this price, the camera quality is not so great when compared to phones like Samsung and Apple. Also, I noticed very seldomly, that the android software glitches, and I need to go to lock screen and lock the phones. Another slight negative is that the sound quality is not on par with high priced phones like Samsung and Apple, but that is to be expected for a phone of this price. Overall, I am very happy with a phone that is extremely tough to survive falls, has an insanely long battery and high ram.

Oukitel G1 in 2025
Oukitel G1 Review The Oukitel G1 is a solid budget-friendly option that offers an impressive array of features for its price point. As someone who's always on the lookout for a decent, affordable phone, the G1 caught my eye with its balanced specs and performance. Design and Build Quality The first thing you’ll notice about the Oukitel G1 is its sleek and minimalist design. The build quality is surprisingly good for a phone in this price range, with a sturdy plastic body that feels durable enough to withstand everyday wear and tear. The phone’s weight is just right—not too heavy, yet not feeling like a toy either. The 5.5-inch HD display is vibrant and clear, making it a joy to browse, watch videos, and play games on. Performance Equipped with a quad-core processor and 6GB of RAM, the Oukitel G1 handles most tasks smoothly. Sure, it might not blaze through heavy gaming or multitasking, but for daily use—checking social media, messaging, and light gaming—it performs admirably. Apps load reasonably fast, and the UI is generally responsive, with minimal lag. Battery Life Battery life is one of the standout features of the Oukitel G1. With a 3000mAh battery, it easily lasts through a day of moderate use. I’ve found that even with extensive browsing and a bit of video streaming, the battery holds up quite well, meaning you can stay connected without constantly searching for a charger. Camera The camera performance is decent for casual photography. The 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera are nothing to write home about, but they get the job done for quick snaps and video calls. Photos are clear and reasonably detailed in good lighting, although low-light performance is predictably less impressive. Speakers A notable aspect of the Oukitel G1 is the placement of its speakers on the back of the phone. This design choice might be a bit unconventional, and it does have its pros and cons. On the upside, the audio quality is quite good for a budget phone, with clear and loud sound output. However, the rear placement means that sound can get muffled when the phone is lying flat on a surface. It’s something to be mindful of, especially if you frequently use the speakerphone or watch videos without headphones. Conclusion All in all, the Oukitel G1 is a commendable choice for anyone looking for a budget-friendly smartphone. While it might have some limitations, like the back-placed speakers and average camera performance, it excels in delivering solid everyday functionality and great battery life. If you’re after a no-frills phone that won’t break the bank, the Oukitel G1 is definitely worth considering.

Best budget friendly phone I've ever used.
My old phone had reached the point where it takes 10seconds to take a photo and a dialling modem to get on the internet ;) being on a strict budget I needed to find a phone that would tick all the boxes. So after a long search it came down to two and I chose this one. The OUKITEL G1 Rugged Smartphone, the design is very solid with shaped corners. It makes me think of something that the army would use in the field. Perfect for me. Set up was fairly quick, which was mainly down to me as I rarely get a new phone and so it takes a bit for my ancient brain to grasp. I am floored at the speed of the camera, the picture is taken even before my finger leaves the button, fantastic when wanting to get that 'zooming cat' photo. The battery life is the best I've ever seen. I am a light user of the phone, a few games like solitaire and some internet scrolling and it lasted me 4 days. Storage capacity is so vast I doubt I'll ever use it all, though it does mean I can download more films to watch when waiting for appointments. Sound quality is very clear and again perfect for watching videos. The phone has a fingerprint scanner in the same area as the camera lenses and the surround is strong and hardy. If I had to mark it down on anything I would say its a heavy phone due to the case, but for me with fumbling fingers it allows me to grasp it tight without fear of sliding. The fingerprint scanner is hard to find without turning the phone over first, I would have preferred it to be in the middle of the back or even on the power button. And a last plus, there's a lanyard hole yay, perfect for hanging round my neck when busy.
