Sennheiser Epos Expand 20 Wired Conference Speakerphone Black, Silver (1000226)

We use these combination speaker/microphone in our office for Microsoft Teams and Google Meet meetings. Excellent sound quality compared to built-in laptop devices. Highly recommend

I initially purchased one because I am working from home and I was spending too much time on conference calls with a phone wedged between my ear and shoulder for hours every day, slowly turning myself into a quadriplegic with neck pain and headaches. I tried several of the cheaper units and promptly processed a return for all of them thanks to horrible audio, echo issues and crummy mic sound quality ("you sound like you're talking into a can"). I tried the computer audio and mic but it was so bad that no one could understand me and I couldn't understand half of the people who were talking either. I purchased this unit on a whim. I love my Sennheiser head phones and these speaker phones are equally good quality. Everyone is easy to understand, mute is clearly highlighted with red lights when it is on and no one has had to ask me to repeat myself since I started using it. Well, then my wife started working from home thanks to COVID and I let her use it for one of her meetings and we spent the next week handing it back-and-forth and scheduling time with it. The first meeting conflict hit and I'm sure you can guess who ended up with the phone back against their face again. So, now we both own one and we are both extremely happy with the purchase. It was very much worth paying double what the cheap units are going for. So far it has worked seamlessly with WebeX, Gotomeeting and zoom. You just need to remember that the meeting application isn't going to understand that you plugged this in, you will need to select the audio settings and choose the Sennheiser for the speaker and then the mic. I can wholeheartedly recommend this for purchase if you spend any time in online meetings.

It’s good

It’s a great device. I extensively use it for making conference calls connecting to my mobile phone, and occasionally for listening to music through phone. Sound quality/clarity is awesome. Reasonable volume for a 100-150 sq. ft. space. Microphone is very good - I have never heard any complain from the other end, even when few of us are speaking at this end about 3-4 feet away from the device, sitting all around. Battery life is very good - initial charging lasts more that 15 calls of average half an hour each. Only thing missing is the Bluetooth connectivity. (It’s meant for connecting with the earphone jack to the phone). This good in a way, because you never have a pairing issue, Which sometimes bother you with Bluetooth connections. Overall, it serves my purpose very well and I love the device.

This speaker replaced an earlier model I used when I was first working from home in 2020. That unit became damaged once hybrid work required me to take it back and forth between home and office. As a replacement, I expected this unit to work better since I've been careful not to take it when I travel between locations. Unfortunately, almost half the time it is plugged in my computer does not recognize it and the switches are all set to mute (no mic, no speaker). What a waste of money.

I have had five conference phones in the past few years. This one has clear sound, on both ends of the call. I wish it had a higher volume level, as some people who talk softly or are far from their mike make it harder to hear them. That's why it gets 4 stars for sound quality. This is a good unit for the money.

I really wanted to like this speakerphone, but the sound is just way too loud for my comfort. Even with the volume turned all the way down, it still feels overly sharp during calls. The device itself is well made and easy to set up, but the volume issue makes it hard for me to use. Just didn’t work for my needs.

Ha praticamente cambiato (in meglio) i meeting di lavoro e le call private. Non riesco più a farne a meno: forse su un MACBook Pro può essere superfluo (per via dell'audio eccezionale che già ha), ma su un PC comune (ho un Lenovo Carbon X1) è assolutamente indispensabile e risolve brillantemente i problemi di intellegibilità, soprattutto nelle call multiparties, con un audio chiaro e potente in ricezione e con una comprensione perfetta da parte della controparte. Fa un lavoro egregio anche con gli smartphones usando ll jack. La carica della batteria dura una vita. Eccellente come peraltro il marchio faceva presagire.

Pairing Works right out of the box , very good quality although I think they sent me a used one (volume button is stuck but still works great)

Sowohl mit Handyanschluss (iPhone) als auch über USB mit dem Rechner für Skype Konferenzen ist die Funktion einwandfrei Die Sprachqualität ist sehr gut - die anderen Teilnehmer konnten mich immer sehr gut verstehen. Die wesentlichen Funktionen sind mit großen Tasten versehen Und das Beste - das Gerät benötigt keine Batterien oder Akku - KORREKTUR: das Gerät hat einen eingebauten Akku, der über die USB Schnittstelle geladen wird - über die "Auflegen" (roter Telefonhörer) Taste kann der Ladestand des Akku angezeigt werden (in der Mitte des Geräts - rund um die Mute Taste leuchten die LEDs blau - wenn alle leuchten, ist der Akku voll.
