Little Monkey is having a bad day. After a major melt down, he goes to his room and uses some coping techniques to calm down. Review: Teaching calming techniques - The little ones love this book. It helps them calm down when I remind them of Little monkey when they feel stressed Review: Effective! - Iโll be honest, I donโt love this particular kind of illustration myself, BUT my 1.5 yr old daughter loves this book and really understands the concept of โcalm downโ now that weโve read it several times over. She loves to point out the mommy, daddy and baby and she practices taking deep breaths with me when we get to that part. Surprisingly a big hit and also effective (for us) at teaching this concept!

Amazing at understanding emotions and helping with meltdowns
This book has been amazing in our calm down corner! Helping my little one to process his emotions and help him to relax and to identify with his own emotions.

nice drawings but short on plot
It's a nice book, but a bit short on story for our 5 year old - maybe better for 2-3 yr olds to understand anger etc

A brilliant book.
A wonderful book for children, especially for those that may be prone to anxieties. It teaches in the form of a narrative, skills to aid the child to calm itself, taking deep breaths or singing a happy song etc. I am so glad I bought it and it is a favourite of my son's.

A gem!
Little Monkey Calms Down is one of the few books that our energetic 20-month-old granddaughter will sit still long enough for us to read to her! A simple, sweet, storyline that she can relate to. A great opening to talk about ways she can manage her toddler-size sad-angry feelings.

Awesome books!
These sturdy book collection is great for kids 1-4 years old. My kid is 5 and still likes to read it sometimes. Some books are funny like poop books and pony brushes his teeth. Good picture and easy to read and follow for toddlers. Good beginner reading material. It also talks about self regulation which is a key milestone at 3-5 years old. I am very happy I bought them.

I like it so much I found it shortish, haha!
I think this collection of books are amazing. My child has not been born yet and I am already reading this book with a funny voice. I really like the message you find underneath: calming down, breathing, accepting the fact of having a bad day. I want my kid to acquire these values and I will complete my collection. They may be shortish but will be enough as we end up repeating the same story again and again and they will have to finally read them by themselves. I will start when my baby is a baby and continue until he ignores them. I do not want to give them away, I really want to keep them. I love these books.
