No. This is for lino to laminate or carpet. You need carpet to carpet or tile to tile. Both the same height.

What are the dimensions of this item?

Hello Connor, the dimensions are as you look at it on the top 20mm, tapper 14mm, side on depth 10mm. I had to cut the length to fit in the doorframe, and then removed the backing strip to expose adhesive, the pressed it down on to the floor surface, I would suggest placing a weight, brick/block to ensure even pressure, I left mine for 24hrs, then remove. Hope this helps.
