Adorable and entertaining!
This set was a huge hit with my 3.5 year old. The pieces are thick and designed well, but I don’t see this lasting more than a few uses with heavy play. For the price point I would expect the cardboard to be a little more reinforced. Nonetheless, I would absolutely pick up a set for family travel. It’s got enough detail to keep the littles entertained for a while.

Perfect pretend play
We are huge Sago Mini fans - we play the games, we watch the show and we have a house toy from 10 years ago. I regulary use the free printables and this seemed like a good mix! It is both foldable but rigid and the desk is the storage. I love the two things to do in one box - a whole set of mail with things to mail and slots for letters and a whole town of delivery. Then there is a desk for playing too. My 8yo and 3yo love it!

Captures the essence of Sago Mini apps, characters, and fun. A little skeptical of the price.
As my daughter was growing up, there was only one series of apps I would let her plan on the iPad: Sago Mini. They made the smart decision of giving away some of their apps for free, which I (yes, as a grown-up) loved to play as a stress reliever. When my daughter was born I ended up buying most of their apps, which she and I still play today many years later.I recommend their apps to anyone who wants to teach their kids creativity. In a lot of ways, Sago Mini replaced Disney in my household as entertainment that both the parent and the child could enjoy together (I can't speak for the new TV show, but the apps are phenomenal). So I couldn't resist ordering this play set. I'm happy to say that the quality is excellent and really captures the mood and spirit of the apps. I especially appreciate that Sago Mini is recognizing the importance of physical toys and tactile pretend play vs. spending all day in front of an iPad or a TV.I also appreciate that they only give one plastic figure—Kiki the raccoon—in this playset. Here's why. For years we bought a number of plastic Peppa Pig playsets, each which came with a Peppa Pig figurine, and we ended up with dozens and dozens of Peppa Pigs which ultimately sat unused. In the case of Sago Mini, it looks like they'll have multiple playsets but just give out one plastic figurine each (there's also the playhouse set that has most of the characters including Harvey, Jack, Robin, Jinja, and my personal fave Hugbot). The one thing I'm a little skeptical about is the price. The box says that this is made in China, so I assume the production costs aren't too high. The set really consists of just color cardboard cutouts. Yes, the cardboard is thick, the print quality is fine, and the imagination in designing the pieces (especially the mayor's office desk and and the mail packages) is phenomenal. But $25 is a lot to swallow, especially these days, and especially since your child will likely want the full set which will ultimately cost more than $75 (and counting as they create new ones). I think for $10 or $15 less this would be a phenomenal deal.If you can afford it, I definitely recommend this and just about anything Sago Mini. But if not, hopefully there'll be some good sales from time to time so you can pick this up at a price closer to what the materials are worth.

Fun Social Studies pretend play!
I am homeschooling my kindergartener, so I thought the Sago Big City mini set would be an affordable and fun supplement to Social Studies lessons. I was right! We had wonderful interactive play, and then he played independently with the set for an additional HOUR after that! This helps meet our state department of education kindergarten objectives regarding community helpers, businesses/commerce, & contrasting city vs. rural living.Okay so there is why I love the Big City set.Now about the set itself:The only down side I can see is that everything but the raccoon postal worker is made of card stock or a sturdy cardboard. So 90-minute play sessions could wear the pieces down quickly, but they're about the thickness of board game cardboard pieces, so maybe not.I originally thought, before arrival, that this set might last through one lesson, but it's better quality & thicker cardboard than I expected. I am pleased with the value and quality. My son gasped when he saw the mail delivery raccoon, and his favorite item is probably the folded pop-up paper/card stock mail delivery truck. The cardboard characters, their stands, and all the props pop out of cardboard sheets and are super easy to assemble. I showed my son how to assemble the animal characters into their stands 2 times, and he completed the rest of the removal and assembly himself. There are tiny cardboard envelopes to fit through the mail slots on the cardboard pop-up storefronts/city block. Also included were larger paper envelopes & pop-up boxes that you can actually place the cardboard pieces in and deliver to the matching businesses. So I put items that would go to a medical office, for example, in the box with a corresponding number, and we delivered it to each location. There was a piece that we were not sure if it was chocolate icing for the bakery, or poo LOL. He decided it was the latter, so then we had to decide if it went on the floor of the veterinary office or on the toilet in the upstairs bathroom of one of the buildings.I think that I could also use adhesive Velcro dots to make it where the cardboard pieces could be matched & attached to the pop-up buildings. The car wash has a curtain made of paper straps, and I love that touch. There is also a freestanding hot dog stand, which is so cute. The cardboard pieces like the folding laptop, to-go coffee cup with stand, cardboard cell phone, and black paper folding glasses were perfect for pretend play too. We each acted like we were the mayor of the city, and furthered the Social Studies lesson by talking about what a mayor does, and why they are also community helpers.I plan on checking into what other mini sets Sago offers, because this was not only really enjoyable play, but also educational. 5 stars!

Screen free imaginative play for a wide range of ages
This play set is really cute and will bring hours of pretend play for young children. It reminds me of paper dolls that have been around for generations, but with a lot more variety to let your imagination run. The colors are vibrant, and the cardboard is sturdy. I will admit that I did rip the tabs accidentally when trying to fold the pretend mayor's desk, but otherwise I didn't have any issues with setup. This is a good value for the money, and I think would be a good activity set for toddlers to school-age kids.
