Wireless CarPlay Adapter for iPhone 2026 Upgrade USB A/USB-C

This is an easy to install device that WiFi connects your phone to your car screen. No need for a usb cable, if your car can accept car play, etc via WiFi.

Wireless CarPlay wasn’t available the year I bought my car. The next year’s model was announced a couple months later and wireless CarPlay was part of the package. Talk about timing. A few weeks ago I found out that wirelessness was available (IDK for how long, I don’t live on the Web). I checked out several models and what attracted me to this one was how compact it was. I plugged it in, followed the instructions, and it just worked. It’s come to the point that it feels it was always there. The USB socket in my car is pretty tucked in so you can’t see the adapter unless you look for it with a flashlight. As built-in as a third-party accessory can be. It takes as long to connect as regular Bluetooth and I don’t give it any thought at all. It’s just there. As it should be. So far, so good.

Overall this is a great adapter. It connects quickly and works great. I don’t notice any audio latency or sound quality difference between this and using USB. My only complaint is it remembers the last connected person and will always reconnect to that device if multiple devices are present. Most of the time that’s fine but when both my partner and I get into the car there’s no easy way to switch between people. You have to disable wireless/bluetooth on the current device and then unplug and replug adapter. If you are usually the only person using wireless CarPlay this adapter is fantastic! I’m going to try a different brand with a switch on it that supposedly lets to switch between two users. Hope it works better.

This wireless CarPlay adapter checks does exactly what I was searching for. I would always plug my phone in no matter how short of a trip I was taking. In time I would start to experience issues with the cable connectivity to my phone. Those days are over! Now I can leave my phone in my pocket or set it in the console and it automatically connects within a few seconds. Another aspect that drew me towards this adapter was its size. This adapter is fairly small and doesn’t get in the way at all. My vehicle is a 5th gen 4Runner which is CarPlay compatible and this device works very well. On occasion when the head unit starts up, the screen remains dark. Pulling the dongle out of the USB port and putting it back in seems to instantly fix the connection issue and CarPlay starts up without fail. By on occasion I’m talking every 20-30 times I start the car. I will take this minor inconvenience any day over the wired connection. I’ve read other reviews where lag is an issue. I haven’t really noticed that with this device. I suppose there is a slight delay when skipping songs through Pandora however it doesn’t bother me any. The cost of this device is well worth the ease and convenience to add wireless CarPlay to your head unit.

DO. NOT. BUY. !!! trust me! You will not use it because its drawbacks after 30 days of daily "use". You will get in your car and it will not connect, you will have to disconnect the thing, plug in your phone, re-start Bluetooth on your new iPhone, the signla will be delayed significantly enough that you cannot watch videos, it will drive you NUTS!!! You'll go through the "convincing yourself that it isn't that bad" phase, then the "I hate that the connection is not smooth, but i can get used to it" phase, then the "i hate this thing, but I can't return it now, it's too late" phase.... then ultimately, you will RIP IT OFF your car and chuck it on the floor of the passenger seat as you drive, completely irritated, with the realization that you knew all along that a device like this would not give you the experience you were expecting. You are warned.

ive been using this for almost a year and is perfect. Connect in 4-5 seconds and works flawlesly. I use this on my Honda Civic 2017 since it has a wired apple carplay and i dont like having to plug it in every time. I have access to several brands of car, from chevy to mercedes benz. and i must say i dont notice any difference between this wireless connection and the ones that come standards in those vehicles. great product. I happens maybe once a month where it does not connect, but i believe thats a apple defect and not the product since apple suck

Somewhat slow connection time once loading up (15-20 seconds). Had to re-plug it in several different times while testing various adapters. This one was one was not as reliable as others I found. That said, once it was connected and if you’re fine with it being a little slow, it sounded fine and worked well.

Simple and easy installation and works great. I have a 2019 Bolt with two USB connections and no USB-C. My new I-phone dies during a long day of work, and I used to have to choose between using carplay or plugging a USB-C converter into the cigarette lighter outlet to charge my phone quickly. Now my phone connects wirelessly to my carplay and I can get directions to where I am going while charging my phone quickly. Great product!
