We don't take iron supplements for its smell ^_^
I came home from my second surgery, The doctor called me the day after worried because my iron count was so low telling me I'm anemic now.. The shake tastes like a silky chocolate. I'd have to say if you've never had sugar-free things it may come off really gross tasting so to help make it better find a milk substitute that works for you and add some sugar it will taste better or you could always add a little pumpkin spice mix or a little dairy-free creamer to change the flavor better. It's pretty thick so using a Shaker bottle ball or whisks would probably be best to mix it. It's easy to use, the texture isn't too bad, the quality is good, my blood count is coming back up so it's effective, Side effects: if you eat a heavy meal with it it can cause bloating. I use it as a meal replacement.

Contender for my new favorite flavor
Okay, so I may have said that Cookies and Cream was gonna be my go to flavor, but the new release of the Vanilla version of Iron Lift is giving it some seriously stiff competition. Vanilla is a notoriously difficult flavor for supplements to get right, but Smart Eats nailed it with this one. Just as smooth in texture as Cookies and Cream, but a great take on vanilla with a rich natural flavor profile that does not have the uncanny aftertaste of “vanilla-esque” that you sometimes get with supplements that claim to be “vanilla”. This tastes like the real deal because it is. The same sustained energy and nutritional support of their previous outings, but with a new option now on the table. I guess I am going to have to order both now and switch off? I can’t speak to the Chocolate version yet as I haven’t tried it, but this will be next on my list!

I think it’s dirt in a bag
I may come back at some point and revise this review, but for right now, I’m giving one star. My problem with this product is the taste. The “vanilla” tastes like pumpkin spice that was mixed with dirt in a moldy basement. My iron is extremely low due to my diet. It’s low as in -my doctor told me my organs will start shutting down- low. Even still, I have to talk myself into being able to drink this. I tell myself, “it’s okay. It’s not really dirt even though it looks and tastes like dirt and it’s gritty. It’ll be okay. Just get it down so you can possibly improve your current situation”. But it’s still a struggle… After I get myself mentally capable of drinking this, I still have the “after” to deal with. I call it the “after” to not be gross, but it’s the “after vomit” that comes up into my mouth that I have to spit out. This typically happens 1-2 hours after I drink it. I just call it the “after.” The after happens because the taste lingers, even if I brush and swish minty mouthwash. The taste is almost unbearable, but I also know it can have several benefits, so I’m just trying to keep drinking it daily. But, the bright side is that you might enjoy dirt, and maybe moldy tasting things is also your thing, and if so, you’ve got to buy this. If I do get benefits from this, it’ll of course be worth it, but for now, I’m struggling, friends. It’s just SO BAD.

Works for me!
Ok, absolutely not delicious in any way and smells bad...but didn't make me throw up like liquid iron. I cant take the pills, the liquid iron makes me throw up from just the smell and even mixing it into something doesn't help. So when I came across this powder, I was hopeful. Glad I bought it! I've been anemic for a while and my iron levels keep dipping because I cant do the pills or the liquid. They make you wait til you're almost dead to approve an infusion, so what's a girl to do? Anyway...i got this one and thought I'd mix it with my chocolate milk. I added a banana, some vanilla and cinnamon and it was actually good. Then I did a smoothie with orange and cranberry juices, strawberries and black cherries and it was wonderful! Now, for the real stuff...i only used a half scoop each time instead of a full scoop. And it worked very well. I only needed to do it twice in a week (mon &thur) because the effects lasted that long. For me, I actually fall asleep faster and wake up more easily in the morning, can focus without a nootropic, have plenty of energy and can still use the restroom. I noticed my cravings for certain irony foods have decreased as well. Everybody is different, so I won't say it's perfect. But for me, this works well. And with the price, im glad I only need 1 scoop a week, so it will last lol! Ok, hope this helps you in your search!

Hard to stomach
First day using, this is definitely not easy to stomach, the smell and the taste is terrible and adding anything that could help with that would hinder absorption

Effective, Easy to Take, and Delicious
This powder single handedly blends better than any other powder I’ve ever consumed. Like zero sediment, I can legit just blend it with a glass straw and water, and it turns into delicious ovaltine flavored milk (add ice). I was trying to up my iron intake along with taking iron bisglycinate every other day, and it effectively worked to both reduce fatigue and increase my iron and ferritin quite significantly in the 3 months I’ve been taking it.
