Fantastic hammock! great quality fabric, double layered. I flip the hammock upside down without putting bug net up, just for that quick chillout, less fraff instant set up for when you need to keep getting in n out to tend your fire etc.. only small nitpicks, would be nice if a snake skin was included in the price, or some tree hugger straps. Could work out expensive by the time you add the other pricey added sundries, but worth it for a new hobby. Wish stuff sack was a few inches bigger too as bit of a tight squeeze to fit everything back in, especially with added snakeskin. However, minor gripes and this hammock is fantastic and well worth the price! DD seem to be the best!

I love camping but hate the backache I always get from sleeping on the floor. This is the most comfortable bed ever. I put it up to test it out, and ended up falling asleep in it. I love the fact that it has a mosquito net inbuilt into it, and that it doubles up as a bivy bag in case there are no trees. When I first put it up I thought it looked a bit small, but once I was in it I felt like a pea in a pod, there was plenty of space for me and my stuff. There are four pockets inside, so you dont have to leave your mobile ect out of the hammock, its so well designed. My back got a bit cold, but there is a flap in which you can stuff some insulation, so I am going to take a bin bag and stuff a bag of leaves or whatever is around under me, to keep the cold out. It is quite heavy when its all folded down, but not as heavy as a tent and airbed, and much more comfortable. Its brilliant and I am really looking forward to camping with it, much better than a tent. 5 stars!

Amazing product, Super easy setup with good range between string-up points ( about 2 meters either side ) so with hammock around 6-7 meter distance. Packs down to a somewhat small lightweight parcel (about the size of a small loaf of bread) would recommend not to use a mummy style bag since when lying within you having limited space to move around. Have camped in all seasons 1 through 4 and have never been disappointed. 5 stars!!

Ok, the cons. This is a little bigger and heavier than other hammocks on the market that have less features and more modular choices. The pros. Buy it. If your considering a hammock this is a great place to start or upgrade to. Great build quality. All stitching, webbing and nylon feel strong and ive had little if any stretch. Size is good, very hard to fall out of (ive tried) and can be used as a recliner or a chair. Mosquito net is strong but is sewn in so no modular options, but only a problem if you live where theres NO bugs.But as with most hammocks the real reward is comfort. If your laying down or sitting its extremely comfortable. I cannot recommend this product enough. Ive used it in -2 in January, slept on cliff sides and even over a small brook. Buy one!

So I've had a hammock in the past for camping which cost £17, i remember the pain it give me putting pressure on both shoulders. This hammock gives me no pain at all and I am quite broad. The quality of the hammock is fantastic and I can't fault it, great material, great netting, great rope. It's very easy to pack. I can't find a bad point to it so if you want a good hammock that will last then this is the one!

I went for the travel rather than frontline version to give added flexibility. People have had worries with them over condensation but I have had no issues. This is a comfortable hammock and quite a big hiking tent inner in one at a competitive price. I had a problem with one of the zips and the hammock was replaced by dd immediately and express courier sent to France ! Can't fault them for service and response. No such issues with this one and it is doing a great job. At this price range, there is not much to compete with dd.

Very pleased with this hammock and the price. It's for my son who will be working in France for the summer when he is on a river dissents. He wanted a hennessey but No way too expensive. We trialed this hammock yesterday - very easy to put up and down and pack away and he said it was very comfy :-) We have ordered the basha just in case of bad weather and I'm sure that the set up will be really good whilst he is away for 6 months.

Great hammock and very easy to set up and take down. We only had an hour, but it was very tranquil. I use a strap and carabiners to set up the hammock, which was super quick and sturdy.

Sehr praktisch mit Moskitonetz und der Möglichkeit, die Hängematte auch als Zelt zu nutzen. Ich benutze sie seit Jahren beim Bushcraft. Einzig das ‚Fach‘ für die IsoMatte hat nicht gut funktioniert. Es wird nur mit ein paar Klettbändern geschlossen, die reißen aber schnell auf und die IsoMatte rutscht dann leicht raus. Ich habe einen Reißverschluss einnähen lassen, jetzt ist Ruhe. Schlafen in der Hängematte muss dennoch gelernt sein, gerade für Seitenschläfer gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Ich konnte den letzten Winter und Spätherbst in dieser Hängematte in Kanada verbringen und mit der richtigen Zusatzausrüstung stellte dies auch kein Problem dar. Das Material hat bei unter -50°C keine Ermüdungen aufgewiesen und hat mich Nachts sanft in den Schlaf gewogen. Im Regen jedoch dehen sich die mitgelieferten Riemen. Diese hatte ich rasch durch noch breitere und dehnungsresistente Spanngurte ausgetauscht(was auch den Bäumen zu Gute kommt) und schon war das Problem, dass man mitten in der NAcht bei Regen den Boden berührt gelöst. Ich selbst habe mit einer Körpergröße von 1,78cm einen recht knappen Innenraum jedoch lässt sich immer noch bequem schlafen. Wer geübt im Umgang mit Hammocks ist wird sich in diesem Modell zurecht finden. Auch der Wasserdichte Zwischenboden in den man eine Isomatte o.Ä. einschieben kann ist ordentlich verarbeitet. Das Moskitonetz funktioniert einwandfrei und hat mir manche Plage erspart.

Ich habe mir die "DD Travel Bivi Hammock - wasserfeste Leichthängematte inkl. Moskitonetz" für meine Wanderungen und Motorrad Touren mit leichtem Gepäck gekauft. (Mit dem "DD superleichtem Regentarp und den Snakeskin Sleave zusammen). Diese Hängematte hält was sie verspricht und mit einem Packmass von ca 35 x 15 x 10 cm passt diese auch ohne Probleme in jeden meiner Rucksäcke. Was ich besonders toll an dieser Hängematte finde, abgesehen von dem Moskitonetz ist, dass ich diese sehr universell nutzen kann, je nach meiner Situation. Entweder als Hängematte und wenn mal keine Aufhängemöglichkeiten vorhanden sind, auch sehr gut als Biwak auf dem Boden nutzbar und dabei wasserdicht. Ich habe die Matte das letzte mal auf eine Wanderung benutzt, mit einer Übernachtung am See. Abends wimmelte es nur so von Mücken. Ich würde lügen, wenn ich sagen würde ich wäre nicht gestochen, jedoch konnte ich durch das Moskitonetz während ich in der Hängematte lag diese zumindest von mir fernhalten. Das andere besondere Merkmal der Hängematte ist der "doppelte Boden". Die Matte verfügt zusätzlich zu dem Moskitonetz, mit Reißverschluss, über 2 Bodenschichten, die mit einem Klettverschluß verschlossen werden. In die untere Schicht kann man eine Isomatte hinein legen, oder Jacken, etc... um sich die Liegefläche gemütlicher zu machen oder einfach um nachts seine Wertgegenstände am/ unterm Körper zu haben. Wenn es jedoch regnet, kann man in die sich in die untere Schicht legen und ist damit Regen geschützt, wenn man kein Tarp zur Verfügung hat. Nutzt man die Matte als Biwak, funktioniert dies genauso. Man kann die Matte zusätzlich am Boden noch abspannen. Das Moskitonetz wird mittels 2 kurzer Zeltstangen aufgespannt (man kann auch einen Stock nehem), zusätzlich mit 2 Gummischnüren noch am Baum befestigt. Ich hätte mir noch einen solchen Zeltstangen Einschub für die mittel Schicht gewünscht. Denn wenn ich im Biwak oder in der Matte in der Regen geschützten Schicht liege, hängt mir das "Dach" stets im Gesicht. Eine z.B. Gummibefestigung an das bereits hochgespannte Moskitonetz würde da sicher auch Abhilfe schaffen. Ich möchte die Matte auf meinen Touren nicht mehr missen. Tip: Das zusätzlich erhältliche "Snakeskin Sleave" macht ein ein / auspacken der Matte sehr viel komfortabler.
