Is the balanced output (xlr) a combination of the left and right signal or just the left? radial's website says its combined but this box says left?

The balanced XLR sums Left and Right into mono so you still get both sides in a single connection. You just would lose the true stereo sound, and instead get the same sound in both speakers

If using with an iphone or ipad i'm assuming you use 1/4 trs cable for both right and left but wanted to make sure exactly which cable to use?

To get stereo output from the unbalanced stereo input (3.5mm TRS mini connector), you would use TRS 1/4" outputs from each of the Left and Right outs. Balanced mono output also available on XLR.

This is advertising the sb-5, but the picture is of the sb-6. what is the ad for?
