FLYDrone Avata 2 Airdrop System
This system is great for dropping small payloads. I was afraid that if I bought the kind with the remote switch, that i might get out of range, but this unit removes that possibility. If you're flying the drone, you can drop. Sometimes it can be a little tricky to get it to drop, you hover and spin and spin, but no drop. Then you spin again, and it drops fine. I've never had it drop early. You can't lift much weight because of the drone's capability, but it will carry small bottles of water with ease. The release mechanism is just a hook that will rotate when you spin. When the drone comes back, you have to manually push the button to get the hook to go back to the top. It's a good affordable system that really adds a lot of fun to drone flying.

Hard
How in the heck do you get the.hook to spin? I can't even make it spin , testing in my hands? :/ Mounts good and stuff, but Calibration Is not fun ... before I press Send, I finally got it to spin, rotating 10 seconds by hand, still no drop 😆 neat idea , I just needs either some tweaking or operator , but I'm pretty smart 😆

Legitimate Product, Works Well
It works very well and it doesn't require a second remote (therefore no range limitation). Absolutely clutch guys.

Producto muy costoso para no funcionar y tener partes faltantes , no lo recomiendo ni al productor ni al vendedor ya que lleno más de 15 días esperando mi reembolso.

It Works But
This drop systems works, but it's not as elegant as the ones for the Air 3. Those use the landing lights so you can drop on demand. This one depends on the rotation of the Avata 2. It's not bad, but I would prefer to use my Air 3 to do any drop.

Works but difficult to make it work
I had ordered this to try out with my DJI Avata 2. I found that I did like the design of how this mounted on to the drone. It was easy to mount and easy to remove. The function of this drop mechanism is based upon the spinning hook starting when the drone rotates 360 several times. When I attached a load to it, it actually had dropped the load early a couple of times out of the 5 test runs that I had performed. There were 3 runs that worked perfectly. I think that this sort of mechanism is interesting, because its not an additional remote control function, but rather a mechanical motion that triggers the hook to release. I liked the idea of this more than the actual performance. I hope that this helps.

I initially ordered this thinking it was the drone itself, so that part was my mistake. That said, the accessory does look well made. The materials feel solid, and the overall build quality seems good right out of the box. I cannot really comment on how it performs in actual use since I do not have the drone to test it with. From a first impression standpoint though, it appears to be a quality accessory. Just make sure you are aware this is an add-on and not the drone itself before ordering.

This is a really sweet airdrop system! The airdrop system fits perfectly around my Avata 2. It took all of 2 minutes to get it tightened up and the string wound on it. There is a button on the side of it that rotates the string to get it properly set. The instructions are clear and helpful in getting everything set up, even explaining how to properly set the load behind the drone to not have it fly off at takeoff. I did however think this would have a way to connect to my controller for a button sync for dropping the load, but it actually just tells you to set the drone to hover and spin it in place to lower the load. It works really well, but I thought it worked a bit differently. Overall though I am happy with its performance. I also really like that it can have another camera mounted on top of the Airdrop system. It gives me a good reason to go get a new action camera.

Tested this airdrop attachment with the Avata 2 and it actually works quite well once you get the hang of it. The setup is quick, snapping onto the drone securely without messing with the balance or flight performance. The trigger mechanism is simple to control and the release happens cleanly without any delay. Tried it for a few small item drops during filming sessions and it added a fun creative element. It can also double as a camera mount which makes it more useful than just a one trick add on. The load capacity feels accurate; lighter items drop smoothly while heavier ones start to affect flight time a bit. It is not a professional accessory but it’s a neat little gadget for creative drone shots or light delivery ideas. Works best if you keep the payload under the recommended limit and take your time with setup before flight. Water balloons on the kids also is great fun.

I’ve been testing this drone drop accessory and it’s surprisingly fun to use. It snaps onto the drone easily and stays secure, letting me try out light drops or get creative with some aerial shots. I also like that it can hold a small camera on top, which adds a nice bit of versatility. The drop works smoothly most of the time, but the trigger can be a little unpredictable, and the mounting hardware feels a bit heavy, which can affect flight time. You also have to be careful with the line around the props. Overall, it’s a fun little gadget for casual flights and playful drops, just best for lighter payloads.
