Very Sharp. Thin blades cut easily. This is not just a vegetable knife.
Comparing to: Santoku kitchen knife, wavy bread knives and Victorinox chef's knife. This knife is softer and needs to be honed with a rod to help it retain its edge. It is so thin that nothing sticks to it so it glides thru whatever you are cutting. Feels sharper than my favorite Victorinox chef knife. It does work on meat and even bread. It is an all around knife. And getting two is a deal for the money you pay. Con: Mentioned it is softer than normal. It is soft enough I put a nick into the blade and I never cut anything hard. You will not be worried about sharpening / honing it as even if you make a mistake, you have another. Its inexpensive enough not to worry. This knife needs mineral oil on the handle as it dries out quickly and gets to be a rough wood feel. If it came in a one pack, I would have bought another.

Well made, keep their sharp, and very well priced
High quality knives, easy to use, easy to sharpen. Perfect size and they're my go-to knives. Have bought numerous sets for backup and gifts.

Amazing price, most likely sharper than any other knife in your kitchen.
I use this wonderful, inexpensive knife for slicing veggies, fruits, fish, and meat without bones. The knife is light and easy to handle. The blade is very thin but strong, though you might not want to try to cut a pumpkin or a butternut squash or anything with bones with it—anything else is fine. (Meat bones or chicken bones might nick or chip the blade and almost certainly would dull it.) The knife does especially well with very thin (or regular) slicing of vegs and fruits. Despite owning some very expensive Global knives, I also choose this Kiwi knife to cut cooked tuna steaks into 1/4 inch slices with very clean edges—try doing that with your regular kitchen knives! I have bought these knives for myself and to give to others as gifts, with which I always include a warning to be careful when opening package and using because these knives are really that sharp. I am so pleased with this knife that I will probably get a Kiwi paring knife, which is also surprisingly inexpensive. I have two quibbles that don’t keep me from giving a 5-star rating: 1) a small paper label is glued to the wooden handle and is somewhat challenging to remove; and 2) the handle has only a very thin waterproof coating. Tips: Obviously a knife with a wood handle is likely to suffer from being put in a dishwasher, so don’t. It’s quick and easy enough to hand wash and dry this knife with a cloth or paper towel; just be careful of the sharp edge of the blade. (Did I say this knife is sharp?) Disclosure: I am a home cook and don’t have any relationship with the Kiwi knife company or Amazon.

SHARP
These are great and the perfect size for everyday. I also bought a larger one and the cleaver, but I like these the best! They are nice and sharp too, and stay sharp. They dont get dull after a few uses.

Love kiwi knives
I've used this brand for years and absolutely love them. They cut through vegetables like butter. Wooden handle is comfortable to hold. Very good quality. Recommend to hand-wash for it to last longer.

Much better than expected for the price.
I wanted to try a Nakiri but didn't want to spend $70+ on a 'good' Japanese knife or ~$40+ on something from China so I took a chance with this set for 2 reasons; 1) Inexpensive and reviewed well 2) I wanted to buy something I could beat up to learn how to sharpen knives. For the price for 2 knives when I say I wasn't expecting much, despite the reviews I really wasn't expecting much. I am more than pleasantly surprised, sure it's stainless and not some crazy German stainless but it's also $12. Fit and finish are also better than expected, just remove the sticker, treat the handle and good to go. Not full tang but again, $12. Knife came sharp and after using for a few days (including about an hours veggie slicing 2 of those days) I understand why this is a common knife for some kitchens. The only downside, since this is a double bevel blade food will stick to it, but again it's $12, no complaints. If I did have any it's that I wish the knife were a little taller/longer as I don't have huge hands but they aren't small either. You can certainly spend anywhere from a little more to a ton more for a 'better' knife but if you are like me and not sure this type of knife suits you in the kitchen... for the money this is a solid little deal. I was also smart and got the set of 2 because my gf likes stealing my knives when we cook, so yeah. I'll probably look for something nicer after a few months of use and might wreck one learning how to sharpen but need I say again $12.

Comes sharp, easy to sharpen I can't complain
Delivers on expectation at a price I think anyone might have a hard time competing with, if you've never had a knife of this brand I would encourage you to take a chance

Must have in my kitchen
Hands down, my favorite knifes I have. As a chef, I have Global, Shun, and many others and this is my go to over 90% of the time. As a side not, it works as a great spatula in my carbon steel pans. It holds an edge very well and is very easy to sharpen for a beginner. I bought these in 2020, it is now 2025. Just get them.

I on the other hand find his very expensive knifes too big and heavy for me. THIS knife is sweet, very sharp, light and the right size for me. Cutting up vegetables is a breeze now. I will buy these again. So happy to find a great Knife.

I have bought and used normal kiwi knives for a while and wanted to try their cleaver. It is a great knife to use - I recommend it and the whole kiwi brand of knives. 👍
