Very good monitor
Better than I imagined. If you use a high-quality home audio system and would like to incorporate it into your setup, this monitor is the best option because it has an HDMI eARC input.

Great Monitor/TV terrible documentation.
I can't do a full review as my new PC is not yet finished, but I can speak to this monitor. Over the years, I have had a series of Samsung monitors, all of which have been great. This new 32-inch unit replaces a 32-inch curved monitor that I am passing on to my grandson. In the meantime, I have been casting my 15-inch laptop screen to the monitor. First, it's worth noting that this unit is not curved like the old one, but I don't see that as a major issue. The screen is bright and sharp. The colors are excellent. My old unit required periodic recalibration. This one does automatic recalibration and has a higher resolution screen with faster refresh. One surprise, which I did not note on purchase, is that this unit is also a 32-inch LQED TV! So it sees all the programs I watch on my 65-inch LG OLED TV and everything else I have running on my internet. It has built-in speakers and a hub, which was much easier to set up than my old unit. I have a Logitech camera, which the unit picked up right away. You can easily connect keyboards, mice, phones and other compatible hardware. So that's the good stuff, but what don't I like? I found the documentation to be a joke.MY old monitor had a 53-page manual. This one comes with a 12 by 15 double-sided installation guide with pictures, and it does make assembly quick. In the box is a simple User guide, 12 x 15, with 1.5 columns of English. I found a color 6 x 10 brochure online, which provides more info on features. But that was it!! MY old monitor can easily adjust height with 2 fingers. Both monitors can rotate and tilt the screen. The new screen appears to only set the height to a fix t level and is not easily adjustable. It is my only gripe, so I still rate it a 5.

A+, Excellent Panel. F-, Abysmal software.
Speaking purely about the panel itself, this monitor is amazing. The blacks are incredible and it's just an overall beautiful screen. The issue however, is that this is a truly awful monitor. This product has an identity crisis and aspires to be a smart TV instead of a PC monitor. Here's what I mean: This screen itself has smart TV apps for streaming services on the display itself, a hub screen for other Samsung apps, and constantly pesters you to connect to your local wifi. Every time the screen powers on or wakes from sleep, a huge intrusive UI appears for about 30-45 seconds which blocks your entire taskbar. ON A MONITOR You cannot truly disable the internal speakers and instead can only set the volume to 0. This doesn't stop your PC from switching to the monitor as an audio output whenever the screen powers back on and re-registers with your PC. this thing seriously thinks it's a smart TV and is genuinely the worst monitor I've used in my life. This even comes with a remote which you will NEED to keep on your desk at all times as it constantly changes outputs and fails to connect to your PC. the UI/UX is the worst I've ever seen on a monitor truly does not seem to be made to work as one. I suspect that this screen runs the same awful privacy invading bloat that Samsung's modern smart TVs do as well, but I haven't confirmed that as I refuse to give it access to my local network. After trying my best to like the product for a week now I simply have to return it, I can't deal with this much slop for this cost. While physically stunning, this screen is overall unreliable, inconsistent, and unusable as a monitor. It refuses to play nice with your PC and provides an unacceptable amount of problems for a $1,200 product. this is a MONITOR, not a TV.

Gorgeous OLED Display — Just One Small Quirk
I’ve been using the Samsung 32" Odyssey OLED G8 mainly for gaming, and overall, I’m really happy with it. The picture quality is stunning — vibrant colors, deep blacks, and sharp details. Playing Destiny 2 on this thing is a whole new experience. The scenery looks incredible, and the OLED panel really brings everything to life. Pros: - Fantastic image quality. Colors are rich and vibrant — perfect for immersive games like Destiny 2. - Built-in speakers. Surprisingly decent sound if you don’t want to use headphones or external speakers all the time. - Solid value for what you get. It’s a 4K OLED monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate and Smart Monitor features — pretty rare at this price point, especially if you catch it on sale. Cons: - Occasional black screen issue. About once a night, the screen briefly goes black for a second or two and then comes back. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. It might be related to running games below the native 4K resolution, which can sometimes cause minor hiccups. If you want a beautiful, feature-packed OLED display that’s great for both gaming and media, this is definitely one to consider.

Pricey but worth it for top end OLED
Such a gorgeous and vibrant screen. Spent way too long looking for an OLED and decided to trust Rtings.com as they tested tons of models. They rated this Samsung as the best 4K monitor and the best OLED monitor. Samsung software is decent. Power brick isn't too huge. Settings aren't too terrible to figure out and there are many options. Originally was going to get a 34" ultrawide but at the time they were only in 1440p resolution and I prefer the taller screen as it turns out. Text clarity is fantastic compared to most OLED's. Oh and it comes with a remote which is fun.

Outstanding Monitor, Amazing Picture, Would Have Returned If Not For 3rd Party Software
TLDR; Intentional stupid interface decision would have made me return it if not for 3rd party software. Great monitor otherwise. Let’s start with why the 1 star. One of the dumbest choices I have ever seen in software and this was an active choice. Whenever the monitor wakes up, WHENEVER, you get the game bar popup. The first picture. That stays on the screen for 5 to 10 seconds. Oh well annoying but whatever. But it goes away and then you get the second popup for another 10 seconds. A popup telling you how to bring the game bar up. Cool a reminder when you are new to the monitor, not bad. Except no, someone thought, they may forget, we need to pop this up EVERYTIME. I've also been through three firmware versions since I have had it and it hasn't changed. So, every time your monitor wakes you either wait 20 seconds with junk on your screen or you have to get the remote and press back twice. Trash design. I would have started the return the same day because of the only problem I have found the monitor and it was an intentional choice. The only reason I didn't was because I found a fix. You either buy a service remote or you use a free third-party app (ColorControl) to access the service menu and turn off that popup. If you have made it this far, I love the monitor otherwise, I would have given it a 5/5, great picture and everything, a massive step up from my old LCD. I do dislike that it is more smart TV than monitor (I don't need all the IoT things on a computer monitor), but I knew what I was buying into with Samsung.

This monitor is awesome, LVL GAMING, OFFICE , MULTIMEDIA.
This monitor is awesome, no doubt! The only thing I’d wish for is that it were a bit brighter, but honestly, it’s still a solid 9.8/10. The quality is top-notch. If you’re just a regular user and not someone who needs NASA-level specs, I totally recommend it. It’s fantastic for gaming and super practical for media – seriously, the best choice. Don’t pay too much attention to the over-the-top reviews you see online. This monitor is worth every penny. Honest review, folks!

Avoid at all cost.
Terrible purchase. The screen flickers consistently, giving you horrible eye strain. The ABL is ridiculously aggressive, so essentially the screen will always be dimmed no matter what settings you try to change. Avoid at all cost, trust me.

Monitor is 5 stars, but the listing information is inaccurate.
The Odyssey OLED G8 (G800SD) is an incredible piece of hardware. The AI upscaling and 240Hz refresh rate make gaming look stunning. However, be aware that the "Resident Evil Requiem" bonus advertised in this listing is NOT available for the Canadian model sold here. I confirmed this with the manufacturer's support using the serial number of this unit. The promotion is region-locked to the US, while this listing is for the Canadian market. If you are buying this specifically for the game bonus, you will be disappointed as the code cannot be redeemed in Canada. Great monitor, but misleading marketing. 4 stars because of the listing errors.
