Wow
I've had such a hard time finding the right filter and pump, but this one finally does the job. I have a unique setup where my tank is under hanging cabinets, and my last two purchases didn't fit properly because they extended way too high over the rim of the tank. Another issue with the others were that they all sat ON the rim and therefore moved quite a bit when i needed to pull the tank out. I love that this is submersible and you can remove one of the filter boxes for a lower water level tank as well. Even with only two of the filters being used it's working perfectly on my 20 gallon long. I've only had to clean it once so far and it was an easy task. I don't find it to be loud and enjoy the sound of the rain attachment. To the last point, being able to lower the arm even more is a great feature as well.

Love the brand but this one stopped working
Compact filter. Easy to assemble and clean. However, it just stopped. After two months of use. Cannot figure out the reason. I am a huge fan of hygger products. Think this one just happened to be defective.

Does an amazing job!
We truly love the fact that this filter is fully submergible. It does an excellent job at keeping our 40 gallon tank clean with our koi’s and large goldfish's.

Stopped working in under 3 months.
I’ve had this in my 45 gallon tank for the last 2-3 months, I clean it routinely and today I realized it completely stopped working. I pulled it apart and deep cleaned hoping it was just plugged up but no luck. Sad to have to replace it so soon cuz it had been the best flow I’ve found with minimal noise.

All I could ask for and more!
I got a 46G bow front tank and this filter moves some water! Love all the different features, currently got the rainmaker on. For the money I believe it’s a great filter. Very happy with it

Good “little” filter
I am a fish nerd. Had fish all my life. I currently have 9 tanks set up and running from 20 to 90 gallons. I have had every filter type, under gravel, sponge, hang on back and canisters. Never had a in the tank so I was excited to try this filter. Initial impressions. It is a great idea. But all the filter chambers are small. Bottom chamber has a nice size but there is a hole for the water to enter in the sponge. It has good size holes in it to grab waste and debris. Middle chamber has a small bag of activated charcoal. This will help with water clarity. It is used to remove tannins from wood, chlorine, chloramine, bad smells), and heavy metals. It can also remove or neutralize any medications used for sick fish so it is nice. You can remove this chamber if you are treating your fish. * I opted to not use the charcoal and put a very course filter media in there to catch more debris Top chamber has bio-balls. These balls have a rough surface that allows beneficial bacteria to stick to and pollinate. This is the area of the filter that helps to break down nitrites and ammonia. I really wanted to not use the material they provided and fill it with some media. I have on hand. In my opinion, they did not provide enough. There’s still room in this canister for more media. I personally feel you can never have enough media for bacteria to colonize. The canisters clip together. To separate you have to push in a little tab on both sides of the chambers. Felt it was difficult to do so. I had to use Phillips screwdriver tip to push them in to separate. They won’t come apart in the tank, it can be difficult to, separate the canister when it’s time to clean I was surprised how much water this little unit can move. It really does a nice job of moving water and sucking water through the filter media. However, there is not a lot of media for this filter and I feel that it’s going to need to be cleaned often. I would not consider this for a goldfish or a tank that has a plecco or bristle nose as they can be quite messy. I opted not to use the waterfall feature as it in a bedroom and I did not want the extra noise. So I put the nozzle that directs the water across the tank. I was impressed at how much water this thing moves. I added the air tubing to take a photo to try and show how much pressure is coming out. I removed it as I have enough aeration in the tank. I have to mention the instructions. They were not that great. I set up the filter based on images from the online pictures. If I had not been working with filters for a long time could be confused to set up, what chamber goes where, or how to use the filter. My rating is based mostly on the size of the filter’s media size. I don’t feel the chambers are large enough for practical use. If you are willing to change your filters weekly, I think it is an option. If someone over feeds it will be an issue. I would not use in a Betta tank, it moves a lot more water than they may like. Ideally I would use this in conjunction with another filter like a sponge filter on the opposite side of the tank
