Overall, nice helmet.
I've been an avid cyclist for over 30 years. This has by far been my favorite helmet. I bought it back in 2018. It's been go-to helmet for the past 6 years. Since purchasing it I've ridden with it in temperatures ranging from 10º to >100º, and humidity ranging from 10% in Colorado to a miserable 90%+ in Minnesota and Maryland. After 6 years of riding with a visor I cannot ever go back to wearing sunglasses on power rides. The visor has the perfect amount of space to allow sweat to drip down without hitting the visor. Whereas with sunglasses, I used to have to take them off regularly during a ride when sweat would roll down on them. Winds in my area can range been 10-20 mph during the summer, hence the desire to purchase an aero helmet. My first ride with this helmet was on a day with 10-15 mp winds. About two miles into my ride it occurred to me there was a noticeable reduction in drag compared to my Giro Aeon. I reach about 40 mph at a full sprint on my favorite route. The visor does a great job and reducing the pull on the neck when down on the aerobars. During the Fall, Winter and Spring, the visor further helps protect the face - A LOT! I wear a thin balaclava in the winter. The airflow is just right for releasing heat without cooking the head during hard rides. For a $275 helmet, the designers should have put a little more effort into the appearance. I had a very hard time picking a color. I didn't like the black for safety reasons. I prefer helmets that provide something that helps vehicle drivers spot me on the road. The white was very plain. I settled for the white and spent a couple days airbrushing some metallic silver accents.

Perfect for Road Biking.
This is one of those helmets that people either hate it, or love it. I think it's great. The magnetic visor offers great airflow, while providing excellent field of view.

Perfect all round helmet
Great fit, comfort and look. The visor is ok in bad weather, but when going a little faster the wind gets up underneath it and affects your eyes. Riding in the summer with high humidity there is plenty of air flow through it to keep you cool, it felt as if my head was actually cooler because the sun was not hitting it through the vents on top that other helmets would have.

Tough decision, glad I bought the Vanquish
Let me get the cons out of the way to start. On several rides now with excessive humidity, high dew point, and elevated heat index the visor has slightly fogged. And if you go through an actual fog it can fog up a little. A little annoying. I just received Frog Spit defogger today to try and help that problem out. On those days above with a high temp there are a few warm spots with full sun to the left and right of the crown. While moving, I noticed if I looked back over my shoulder air would hit those spots nicely. No case to carry the helmet. Had to buy one. Other than those things listed above, this helmet rocks! SIZING: I had my wife measure my head different times and with balaclava on and headband too. Decided on a medium and the Giro recommended measurements for helmet size seem accurate. I was worried about too much light coming from bottom of visor but my eyes rarely notice and the visor on the medium fits nice and close to the bridge of my nose. It’s dark and clear enough too. Bought a clear second visor for fall/winter rides as well as night rides. COMFORT: the tightening mechanism on top of the helmet tightens all around my head at once for an even feel around my head. It’s easy to adjust while riding too. I’ve been riding awhile so this is easy to do especially when going into the drops and making minor adjustments to maximize aero feel. CHIN STRAP: easy to adjust and sits flat against my face. I also use Cat Ears and works great with those too. AIR FLOW: I can feel air cooling head from the top and on the back of my neck. It’s a little loud but the cat ears help some. VISOR: cool look. Is vented for air flow across my face. Easily and securely fits upside down when taking off and magnets grab nicely. Especially when putting it on you can hear it snap into place. STORAGE/TRANSPORT: contacted Giro to see if case or visor case available and they recommended a helmet bag. So, I bought a Catlike whisper case and works fine with this helmet. What else can I say? It’s easy to take off and put on during breaks. I shopped for hours, compared helmets, measured crazily, and got the medium Vanquish in matte black...great helmet! Glad I bought it.

My previous review of this helmet was wrong
This Giro helmet is great but it's being discontinued. It's a mips helmet, very comfortable and has a magnetic face shield. There are 4 different face shields you can get for it. Easy to adjust and the shield is reversible if you don't need it by flipping it over.

Visor is a bad gimmick, but comfortable and aero
I tried this on a 40 minute ride immediately with my normal prescription lenses under the visor. I was so excited at the field of vision (except for the annoying logo on the lens that overlaps with the field of vision with my bike computer). I had been stung by a bee between the eyes on a 50 kph descent in traffic a week ago prompting some better protection. This definitely provides that. But... I noticed right away that the ventilation vents in the lenses are positioned exactly in my field of vision in a normal, hands-on-pads position. This was super annoying. Then I noticed that the incredible fit and comfort and the helmet made it center about 5 mm to the left. I guess my skull is not anatomically balanced. The effect was that the bridge of the visor (and the vents) are always slightly off. Eventually I got used to it, but so annoying. Also, the bridge of the visor makes practically zero actual contact with my nose at all, which was glorious since another thing not annoying me on my nose to deal with. But, after a climb and later on the descent I discovered the no-joy reason that I immediately returned the helmet: ventilation caused my eyes to tear up, not even the cheap $10 sunglasses that go over glasses that old people wear do that. One of the reasons I got them was to keep pollen and dust out of my eyes. My 80s Oakleys did a far better job (as I imagine the prescription Rudy's I am ordering will as well). But despite all that air blowing around in my eyes, the lack of ventilation on the forehead (which I had gotten used to with the Aether) causes sweat to start dripping into my eyes during the descent. That has *never* happened with my Aether. I'm sure I could wear a head band to manage the sweat like most baldies like me do, but I never had to with the Aether. Sure I was more aero, but I couldn't see out my right eye. The worst part was that I also couldn't stick my hand up their to manage the sweat drops because I knew if I did the magnets would pop loose and I'd lose the entire visor on the ground. I had just watched a pro hill climb and noticed how many of them had glasses in their helmets on the climb probably to manage the sweat during the ascents. They advertise that you can flip the visor and accomplish the same thing with this helmet, but I would never risk it. The magnets are not nearly as strong when inverted for storage and one look back at the person sucking on my wheel and that visor would catch the wind like a sail and be gone completely. Bottom line: the helmet feels amazing and is probably a good aero option, but the visor is a wasteful gimmick that should just be completely ignored. I ended up buying the case and the other two replacement visors (from Giro, they do make replacements contrary to other reviews). I look forward to a good pair of prescription, wide-angle eye shades that have a proper seal and are closer to my eyes giving better protection.

Cómodo y seguro
Tiene un aspecto confiable, aunque espero no probarlo contra el piso, jeje. Es cómodo. El diseño es muy vistoso, quizás un tamaño amplia a la vista. Es elegante sin lentes también.
