The cost of these earring backs threw me a little, but they are amazing and definitely less expensive than replacing even one of the diamond studs they are securing. My earrings came with screw backs, but every day I was still having to check and tighten them, with these I’ve realized they stay put where I set them and I can breathe easier when I wear my studs. Also, I wear gel press on nails and am still able to easily work the small mechanism that makes these work so well.

This is a secured lock that is comfortable to wear, it won’t pinch your ear. A great investment to ensure that you won’t lose a valuable diamond. I’m buying another one. Highly recommend!

Love these earring backs. I use them for my Diamond stud earrings. They are very comfortable to where and are secure. I had lost one of my diamond earrings with a regular back and now I don't worry about them coming off.

These work really well and are very comfortable. I prefer them to screw backs that I've had in the past. That being said, they need to be 50-100% larger in diameter than they are. These things are really tiny and not cheap. If you have thicker artificial nails, they can be even a little more tricky to take off properly. I don't sleep in my earrings so I take them off daily. If you wear them all the time, then this probably won't effect you as much. It has gotten easier over the last month that I've had them. I'd give them 5 stars if they were a more appropriate size. If you drop one, they are the devil to find.

UPDATE 5/28/24: I've now had these locking earring backs for 3 years and I love them. I use them for a pair of solitaire studs I wear daily and have had no issues. I have noticed they get in the way when I talk on the phone, particularly if I have to hold the phone to my ear with my shoulder. This is not a problem for me as I generally wear ear buds anyway. I've been through a couple different locking backs and these are the first pair I have not returned. The biggest issue I've had with locking backs is they get dirty and lose their grip. I'm lazy, I'm not about to remove my earrings to clean the backs weekly. This set are fairly pricey but definitely worth it. I've had these for about 2 months now and haven't had any issues with losing grip. They're on and they are not going anywhere (I've tried), I wear them all day and sleep in them and have no issues. The locking mechanism catches the indent at the end of the stud post and stays there. They don't come off unless you deliberately remove them. You can't do it accidentally - I've caught these on towels and shirts and they don't slip off BUT they remove easily when you pull the end piece. I have cleaned them once right after getting them and had no issues. Very happy with this purchase.

If your primary objective is security, then these are your backs! Got some for my girlfriend and she loves them. One downside—she likes to have her nails done, so depending upon m how think her gel is, sometimes she needs my help getting them off.

I got a pair of real diamond stud (small) earrings for Christmas. It came with friction grip backs. The fit was so tight, I could not get it off - tried many times. Called the jewelry store for help and they said - Yes, we have some safety backs, but they cost $145. Wow. No. Online, I searched and found these. amazon - thought i would try them. After one month, very pleased. Wear the earrings 24/7. The back does not pull out without the secret. Rolling on the pillow, no. In the shower, washing hair, no. walking about, no. The secret to taking them off is stick your fingernail behind the catch, put slight pressure, and the backing moves smoothly off. The only downside is that the hole to insert the post is very tiny. It takes me a couple times to get on - but I think I will get better with practice. Yes, I recommend them.

Love the security of these but they are a bit fiddle to put on due to their small size. Expect a teensy earring back to go scittering under furniture or across a floor every now and then. My daughter lost one half of her pair within a few days (found it months later during a spring clean luckily). Will buy more of these in the future. Expensive perhaps but can be used on every earring and gives great peace of mind. I’m of a fan of these.

1st thought after i tried on - it is true, it works! Shouldn't have waited this long to buy. I wear them: slide in catch close to ear, let magic (or Japan technology) work itself. The earrings post's end notch act as safety net. Daily use and even slept in these for a month, absolute delight, earrings intact. Finally peace of mind. Yes we need to clean them too.

Finally a true locking back! I am thrilled to be able to wear my diamond earrings without having to worry about losing one. Thank you Chrysmela for such a wonderful product.

It works very well. I have metal allergy, but this seems OK I have been wearing it for two days without itchiness.
