Good strong magnet is all I can say about this. The quality is what I expect from Pelican the only problem I have with this wallet is that it doesn't hold as much as it claims to. You can hold 4 cards but that's it. If you want to carry money then you have to leave some cards at home. I was very excited to find this wallet but ultimately let down with the lack of storage. Sad :(
