Great for vegans to add a cheese flavour to their meals, works added to dishes or sprinkled on top. Also a good source of B12.

I have never used this product before and found a recipe using yeast flakes for my daughter who has a dairy allergy and totally misses out on cheese which she loved before. This is a superb game changer for adding to sauces giving a cheesy flavour without the dairy. Product arrived quickly and as described.

This is a flavour you need to get used to, in my opinion. It’s a bit cheesy and yeasty and will probably be good for flavouring soups stews, etc. My husband loves it on popcorn. I love Marmite but it doesn’t necessarily follow that you will love this too. Try 1 pot first. If I find it’s a “must have” for recipes, I will add to this review.

Good as a seasoning to foods (particularly tofu), and to add umami flavour to sauces. High in protein, great as an alternative to cheese in vegan/veggie cooking and I use regularly. Good deal when purchased from Amazon.

Nutritional yeast flakes (sometimes known as 'Nooch' because folks find the name a bit off-putting) are a wonderful addition to many savoury dishes and not just for vegans. Yeast flakes not only taste great but also contain vitamin B12 which is useful for those on a vegan or vegetarian diet. Engevita brand is well established and I have used it for many years.

Best stuff ever . With 2 out of my 3 adult children turning vegan by 20, I am what I call a part time vegan -but nutrition yeast - particularly this brand, goes in everything!!! You can use it simply when you would usually add cheese - eg on pasta , mash , garlic bread etc - so cutting the fat, carbs , calories and increasing the protein . However I recommend you use it on pretty much all you cook, as a topping or combined with your herbs spices and stock and generally wherever you fancy! These size tubs last ages even at the rate I go through it - but for the serious vegan the same brand do a giant one which makes a great present to anyone who loves their food . These price currently beats most supermarkets ( and sadly you will still have to hunt to find it in many ) Think of it a a somewhere between Parmesan cheese ( without the revolting smell , however good it tastes ) and mixed herbs with extra protein and nutrients and you won’t go far wrong .
