Exactly what it says it is.
I use an android with type C as my daily phone but often record with an old iPhone. This has allowed me to use the nice DJI Mic minis with that iphone incredibly easy! Sounds great, easy to setup, and allows me to tap into DJI app features. Works well and there is a spot in the mic mini case to store it. If you intend to use a mic mini with multiple devices this is really not a bad thing to have!

It’s the OEM DJI lighting adapter.
It works. So happy I was able to get my hands on this. Not happy that it was not included in with the DJI mic mini. They should have included it and the cost is actually exorbitant. But I need it for my phone. I use the USB C adapter for my iPads. If you have lighting iPhones laying around you can use the lighting adapter to bring new life to the devices by turning them into spare recorders.

It works but doesn’t clear my chonky phone case.
Device works good, doesn’t fit my phone unless I pull back the rubber part of the case. Still feel like this should have been included with the mic but I’m probably just due for a new phone! Lol I don’t think Lightning plugs have been used since the iphone 14 was released so I understand why this was left out.

Works well, but should be included
The adapter works perfectly with my DJI Mic Mini, but it’s frustrating that I had to pay an extra $19 for something that feels essential. Since so many people use iPhones, this really should be included in the bundle. Great quality, but disappointing that it's a separate purchase.
