CoverBuddy iPad Case that Fits Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 13” (M5 2025 / M4 2024) Magic Keyboard Compatible iPad case with Graphene Heat Dissipation & Pencil Holder (Leather Black 5.05)

Overall, this does what I need it to do, which is to make my iPad more convenient to use with OR without the Magic Keyboard. It's the best product I've found. First, it's lightweight and streamlined. Second, it protects the corners of the iPad. Third, it enables me to detach my iPad from the Magic Keyboard, keeping my iPad protected, lightweight, and portable. The pencil holder is excellent (pic1), and it's easy to remove the pencil when needed. And it works with my remote page turner (pic 2), which my previous iPad's skin did not. My CoverBuddy arrived *slightly* warped in the TX summer heat. After a couple months of use, I see NO visible warping when I remove it. It fits well (pic 3) and I am using a screen protector, which is not recommended. All in all, a great product that makes my iPad safely usable with and without the Magic Keyboard.

My iPad Air fits nicely into the case. It holds the pencil securely to it's charging surface. It's easy to install, just snaps into place.

UPDATE 2: So as mentioned before, seller did send me a new case. However that case only lasted maybe 5ish months before it failed to the same fate. This time I ONLY used an apple charger and cable for charging the device, at the request of the seller. I really like the product.. I'd almost consider it a "must have" if you use the apple pencil with the magic keyboard. However it failing on a constant basis is not okay, especially given the price point. 100% would avoid until MAGEASY can figure out a way to solve the pin issues... =========================== UPDATE 1: So after posting this the seller reached out and offered to send out a new replacement free of cost. They had mentioned in the email that there were known "issues" with using non Apple chargers. If that is a known problem it should be documented in the production pages. That said, the charger I was using was the same wattage, just a different brand. I continued to use the replacement, 90% was with an Apple rated charger, but there were times I used a battery bank for charging. The second case lasted a little bit longer than the first, but it has also stopped working. The middle pin looks like its melted into the product or the product melted up. The far right pin, while not melted in, it not longer springs back out. The far left pin is the only one that is left still "working" Given this, I want to say my original thought is true, the product can't handle the voltage. Keep in mind, you can use a 100w charger and its still only going to charge at 35 watts.. This product should be able to meet and exceed 35 watts of charging and it can't. The design of the product is great, the engineering and material used is the failure here. =========================== So I like the design of this product, its functionality is less than desirable. This product refuses to work when you plug power into the iPad, thus making it worthless. If you unplug it, the keyboard works. Today I plugged the power into the keyboard and it stopped working all together. I believe I’ve taken the iPad off the keyboard maybe 4 or 5 times. It seems like the middle pin is not working right compared to the others. Not sure if this is a voltage issue or what. Could be that it’s heating up and locking pins in place. Can’t recommend unless the vender has a solution to this issue.

I’ve been using the MAGEASY CoverBuddy for my M4 iPad Pro for several weeks now and it’s hands, down one of the best add, ons I’ve tried. In short, the CoverBuddy blends magnet strength, scratch resistance, durability, ease of installation, and ease of use into one sleek package, and it feels like a bargain. Five stars all the way.

Works as intended. PROS Ease of removal: comes off easy. Goes on easy. Fit: it is snug and does not mess with the screen protectors I’ve used. Quality: it feels like a strong enough plastic and has a nice “felt-like” padding. Ipencil slot: I never have to worry if the pencil will come off from being bumped or pressed. It is decently sized and has zero issues with the pencil connecting to charge. Magic Keyboard Compatible: yes! It works well and has no issues with the magnetic attaching to the keyboard. It charges thru the keyboard as well, when open. CONS Felt-like padding: while it makes it feel like great quality, it adds a bit too much space between the iPad & Magic Keyboard, which causes a slight separation between the pins when you close it. It’s not a problem, unless you were planning on plugging into the keyboard to charge, rather than the iPad, itself. Solutions: 1) plug it into the iPad. 2) place a heavy book on it. 3) only charge it via the keyboard while it’s open. Recommended: not highly, but definitely over other similar brand versions.

(UPDATE) Someone from MAGEASY reached out almost immediately and let me know that there is a 1-year warranty. I ordered another one since I love the product regardless, but they gave me a refund. (The product price went up since 6 months ago, prob due to global economic !@#$). Great service. Thank you. --- Can someone from MAGEASY help? I bought this around 6 months ago, and only reason was so i can use my iPad Pro 11 with my Magic Keyboard seamlessly. I don't take the iPad out of the cover. I started noticing if I plug in my usb C charger directly into the iPad (for data + charging purposes), the keyboard did not work. After a bunch of testing, the connector of the CoverBuddy pins are flattened, and so data connecting directly to my iPad won't let me use my keyboard -- which defeats the whole purpose of buying this. It has been LESS THAN 6 MONTHS. I would really like someone to cover for the manufacturing defect please.

Hello. I have an iPad Pro 13-inch (M5) (2005), and the CoverBuddy Case fits perfectly. Unfortunately, it’s just a sheet of plastic so there’s no real protection, but it will keep your iPad covered instead of being naked. This CoverBuddy Case will also fit Apple’s Smart Folio, too. It does have magnets inside so the “magnetic” connection is strong. Also, I have a 9H Screen Protector on my iPad Pro. On their website, this CoverBuddy is supposed to work with Screen Protectors 35mm in thickness. The pencil holder on top will hold and charge an Apple Pencil Pro, but an Apple Pencil Pro with a Silicone Sleeve WILL NOT fit. Personally, I don’t like the pencil holder on top so I bought a CoverBuddy Lite, which doesn’t have a Pencil Holder on top. It said that it would fit my iPad Pro (A3361), but it didn’t. I had to send it back. I would give this a high review, but the price of $70.00 USD, is just freaking insane!

This was a great case until it wasn’t. The pass through terminals stopped working, so the keyboard stopped working. Two out of the three “nubs” are stuck and don’t spring back and forth like they’re supposed to. So they don’t make proper contact, and now the keyboard just doesn’t work without a connection. Once I remove the case, the keyboard works fine again

I am very happy with this purchase. I love my Apple Smart keyboard but sometimes I just want to read on my iPad in bed. This is where the CoverBuddy comes in. I feel safer knowing the iPad is protected. The cover has a pencil holder which is perfect. The pencil holder is secure. The magnets hold the iPad firmly onto the Smart keyboard. I had read somewhere that the case would not work with a screen protector because it does not close well when you have it on the Apple Smart keyboard. I have a magnetic screen protector on my 13 inch iPad Pro M4 and I had no problems closing the keyboard. It is a perfect fit. I also had no problems pressing the volume buttons since they are now covered by the case. The CoverBuddy is quite light but feels like it would protect my iPad on the corners if I dropped it. I've read some people did not like that the bottom part of the case does not fully cover the iPad. In looking at the design, it is clear that the iPad is snug on the Smart keyboard hinge. If the CoverBuddy was covered all the way, it would not fit on the Smart keyboard hinge and it would also impede your charging cable to connect with the Smart keyboard charging slot. I'm happy with the product. I looked at other cases similar to this, but I am sure I bought the right one for me.

Perfecta!!! Cierra al 100% con todo y mica de pantalla. Tal vez la mía sea de vidrio templado mas delgado lo cual no interfiere con el teclado del Magic Keyboard. Lei comentarios de usuarios que dicen que no cierra al 100 o que incluso cuando conectan para cargar por medio del teclado el iPad o no responde , o no carga o no se puede usar con el iPad conectado a un hub de puertos... no es mi caso. Vale completamente el precio y mas. Sujeta el Apple Pencil y así ya no lo tengo que llevar por separado. Ojo! no es una cubierta super resistente. Te cubrirá de rayones y de alguno que otro golpe si la dejas caer de alturas bajas. Si la expectativa es que sea "drop proof" como una Otterbox o algo donde claramente el fabricante menciona que ha sido probada para caídas, esta no es. Sin embrago hace un excelente trabajo de protección para uso "normal".
