This one is actually about a half an inch shorter than what comes with the Oatey drain kits, which is a huge plus if you are doing a drain in concrete slab and SOMEBODY poured concrete against the drain rough in, so if your drain height is limited to floor level or above, this adapter gives you more wiggle room to keep your mortar and drain pan height lower.
