Such a useful addition to help me think less and do more
I have a few different Nanoleaf products in my home and one day when I was playing around in the app creating some new scenes, I started clicking around the app and noticed a section for โcontrol groupsโ which said that you can connect lights with Sense+ switches together. I looked it up and for the price I decided to try it out, and honestly this switch has been a fantastic addition to my lighting system because it allows me to be more hands-free but still get what I want. First things first: Installation? What installation? The back of the switch holder comes with double-sided tape or two strong magnetic pads for a renter-friendly option, and the switch connects to the app very easily by scanning a little QR code on the back of it. Once you select which devices you want to connect the switch to, you get a quick tutorial on the basic functions and from there you get to customize what the side buttons do and youโre done. Two features I have really been enjoying are the motion and daylight sensors. The motion sensor has changed my morning routine - I can walk into my kitchen in the very early morning when it is still dark in my home and get a gentle, sunrise-y glow going while I am making my coffee without having to even care about where my phone is or press any buttons, it really helps me wake up in the morning. The daylight feature plays into this routine perfectly, because I donโt even have to think about turning my lights off to conserve energy during the day and turning everything back on at night, I just go about my day and Nanoleaf does the thinking for me. If you have a few Nanoleaf products in your home, I highly recommend purchasing the Sense+ switch. Such a little device makes such a big impact in allowing you to think less and do more!

Extremely unreliable and difficult to set up.
I got this switch to control scenes in Apple home since the product is โmatter compatibleโ but I have only once ever been able to add this product to my Apple home environment. You have to get it set up through their app first, then enable matter and connect it to Apple home through their app, but it simply fails to add to home every single time. Horrible and difficult to use product. Took too long to figure out how bad it was and now Iโm stuck with it.

Lacking compatibility, high hopes, bad results
I was hopeful for this switch to work with my other devices given its design, which is one of the only wireless motion sensor switches available out there. Out of the box it gave me problems even pairing directly in the Nanoleaf app, telling me to factory reset the switch and that maximum pairings have been reached, even though itโs never been paired with anything else before. After I waited several hours it finally decided to pair in the app, but at that point just sat there with no purpose since thereโs no easy way to integrate it into other smart home systems, in my case home assistant. I was hoping to use this to control some lighting in my home, but instead I have no use for this since it lacks compatibility. The only reason I gave more than one star is the ease of installation and the amount of options you have in that regard, and itโs sized like a regular switch which is aesthetically pleasing. But if you plan on controlling non-nanoleaf devices, seek other options.

periodically requires re-setup, otherwise good.
occasionally has to be re-setup, but mostly works well. After enabling the beta Matter over Thread support, I've been able to tie it in to Home Assistant and use single/double/long press the left and right buttons (only) to trigger automations that I use for scenes. There was another firmware update just the other day, so hopefully I won't have to re-setup every month or two anymore.

For the hands free type of guy
I have this paired with my floor lamp and when I walk into my room the lamp automatically lights up, but if the room is already bright then the lamp won't turn on. Always great when you feel like Tony Stark for a second. The remote plate uses double sided tape, there are screw holes if you want to screw. The remote uses magnets to stick to the plate. Very simple, no drilling necessary. There are settings in the app to modify what each button does, and if you want the motion sensor on or not. The potential this little thing can bring... I need to buy more lights

Nanoleaf has become a letdown
Nanoleaf has declined since its initial entry into the smart lighting scene. I bought my first Nanoleaf essentials bulb at the Apple Store shortly after release, and this remote can not be from the same company. Once the app finally let me set it up, there was a notable latency in the remote response time. I intended to use the remote to control an essentials light strip and two lamps. This did not pan out as I intended because there was a notable latency in the remotes control and all three devices did not react every time. This was especially apparent for the adaptive scene that changes color temperature based on the time of day. The three devices being controlled were never the same color. This was not an issue when controlled in the Nanoleaf app, so it leads me to think itโs the remotes inability to communicate with all three devices.

Unreliable and glitchy
I have all Nanoleaf bulbs in my house. They have problems on their own needing to re-pair, remove and add back to HomeKit, get stuck on a color, or just lose connection entirely. These switches some how makes that worse and causes the issues to happen more often. They are not stylish, but chunky. The adhesive for the plate will rip the drywall paper and texture right of your wall. Good idea, but Not a great value.
