Wicker refers to the craftsmanship and weaving technique, not the material itself. The weaving can be done using various natural materials, including cane, rattan, willow, seagrass, water hyacinth, and many other types of plant fibers.

What is this basket made of?

This basket is made from willow, a naturally smooth and pliable material. Its softness and flexibility make it ideal for crafting baskets and trays in a variety of shapes and sizes, allowing for both sturdy construction and intricate weaving.

What is the difference between Rattan and Willow?

Rattan is typically a rougher material that requires steaming before it can be twisted and shaped. In contrast, willow baskets are made using the whole willow branch, resulting in a naturally glossy finish that adds to their smooth, refined look.

Why are the listed sizes approximate?

Each piece is artisan-made, so slight variations in size and weave are to be expected. These differences add to the one-of-a-kind charm and authenticity of the product.

Will the product look exactly the same as in the listing photo?

Colours may vary due to monitor settings and lighting during photography. The weave can differ slightly from piece to piece because each item is hand-crafted. We strive for accuracy, but natural variations are part of what makes each product unique.
