I tried the retail bottle once and it worked great, but every bottle after that was clogged on one side, dried up in storage, or just didn't pour evenly. Drive me nuts and switched to therabreath, which was ok but not really as good - although if you need no stinging that is the winner. With two separate bottles I can just put a couple squirts from each in a small medicine cup and it's no problem. Works amazing. Really helps me keep my tonsils stones in check and cuts down on bacteria growth after tongue brushing, usually good in the morning which for me is very good. After a couple weeks I'm actually seeing a decrease in how much stuff is coming back each day - subtle but I can tell. Definitely not going to cure things over night, but it will definitely help for a night. I would recommend using between meals to keep sugars from growing more bacteria during the day. Taste is pretty good. It can be a little bit stinging at times, but I don't think it's too bad compared to a lot of traditional mouthwashes. Use after flossing and brushing and you'll be in good shape, or by itself for a quick touch-up (not as good obviously, but better than nothing by far)

This is much more satisfying to use than the alcohol based mouthwash (Listerine). It cleans your mouth of the bad flora and does not kill the good flora in your mouth. My dentist recommended using Listerine to kill the bad bacteria in your mouth, to prevent gingivitis but killing all of the flora only invites the bad flora to come back along with the good flora. This is why i switched over to this non-alcohol based mouthwash. It is a large two part bottle so traveling with it would not be easy, but the dispensing into a small cap/shot glass works very conveniently at home. I do not use the full 5 pumps each of the dispenser, I get away with using only 1 pump each and it is enough to swirl in your mouth, so it will last me 5 times longer than normal. This makes it more economical.

I have used this for 8 months and am reordering as my bottles are nearly empty. I use this almost every morning (but use travel packs when I travel). My husband recently commented that it evidently works since my bad breath has gone away. It’s refreshing to use and I like the separate bottles so much better than the all-in-one bottles. I kept a lid from the combination bottle and hang it over the pump spout of one of the bottles so that I have a “built in” cup just for this. With they come out with a cup that fits over it, but this works for me for now. If you have trouble with dry mouth (I’m a mouth breather, especially at night) or have terrible breath, give this a try!

This stuff is really amazing like it works like no other until your friend try it and think that the one that has no flavor is not needed and uses all the one that taste like mint not realizing you have to use them together for them to work so mad at them but anyways great product expensive for mouthwash but man does it work and fast. My problem stopped in 3 days and it was pretty bad.

This is better than prescription. Suffered all my life with breath. Sjögren’s syndrome. They shouldn’t say it has a pump. They don’t even fit. This isn’t any better than the green bottle . I actually prefer the green bottle. Do not buy bottle that has 1 pouring spout that filters into one. That does not work .you’ll have a big mess are more of one side than the other side. My recommendation is green bottle not the double pour just the bottles. Get a measuring cup from some cough medicine you have hanging around and put half of what they say. You’ll have perfect breath all day. Take at night and wake up with no morning breath.

This changed my gum health for sure. My gum measures improved drastically from one cleaning to the next, which meant the bleeding was minimal to non, my hygienist was proud to admit my current checkup was better than the last. Zincs amazing for inflammation. It also helps my gums tolerate the cheap crown material from a couple crowns I had done at a crappy office. Kind of makes your mouth peel but it gets better as time goes on. I use 2 pumps of each because I have a small mouth and I pinch some Pennies. Use once a day in the morning after brushing and flossing, equal parts, 30 seconds. Use a fluoride toothpaste or rinse at night. Someone told me to put this and water in a waterpic and I will be doing that shortly!! This is part of my daily routine and will be for life I’m sure.. and that’s huge for a product to stay in a daily routine for life! Lots of money goes that way each year so props to the smartmouth company. The flavor is a typical minty flavor. Keeps my breath fresh for hours. I do not eat or drink after, for a good 30-60min.. you won’t want to. The feeling/flavor in your mouth takes a bit to get used to but you will because you’ll love the results and compliments from your dentist.

Okay, honestly I never leave reviews, but I was hoping this may be helpful as I saw some reviews mentioning a bad taste before purchasing myself. Backstory: I bought this in a whim looking for a cheaper alternative to a mouthwash from my dentist (that can only be purchased through dentists). Let’s call it “dental wash” to not drop any names. When my dentist got me hooked to the “dental wash”, she told me “do x pumps of a, x pumps of b, and let it SIT while you brush your teeth, etc. before using” basically letting it sit gives it time to do its weird science magic and combine properly, and you knew it was ready when it turned from blue to green. Now, when brought Smart Mouth, I didn’t see anything in the instructions about letting it sit, so I didn’t, and I did notice an under-taste that wasn’t awesome, but nothing to turn me away. The other day, I went in auto pilot and mixed it before my normal brushing etc. and noticed it turned a different color! (But Smart Mouth turned from green to blue, kind of reverse my old mouth wash), and when I used it, there was none of the strange taste, it tasted amazing actually! Maybe my hypothesis is wrong lol, or maybe this is somewhere in the directions that I overlooked. But long story short, let it sit if you don’t like the taste (: Attaching pics of said color change!
