beautiful piece! works like a clock, was easy to install and easy to use. the marked com port numbers do not always match what is in the system, seems like the same 'ol windows com port configuration problem assigning com numbers. still giving 5 starts!

For the PEX8S952, the 8 port serial card. It did NOT come with a low profile adapter. It does work on Server 2016 with the included drivers.

I put this unit in the same machine as a Rocket Port multi-port card. Windows 7 only recognized 4 of the 8 ports but that was sufficient for the day and I didn't investigate further. I have used other StarTech serial cards with great success where cheaper cards in the same application have failed.

Working good

We are using 2 of these in productions system right now. Linux requires you to add a boot option to allow more then 4 ports on most distro's. You just need to add the follow to the kernel line "8250.nr_uarts=16" in grub.

Worked fine. As expected, cable management was a pain.

This product proved to be reliable. We where able to see all 8 Com ports available right after driver installation. I would recommend this product to anyone who has more than 4 Com instruments connected to the same station.
