ExoLens with Optics by ZEISS Mutar 2.0X Asph T* Telephoto Lens for iPhone 7, 6s, 6s Plus, 6, 6 Plus

I bought this for my iPhone 6. Sliding the lens off and on is not especially easy but it works. I have to remember to turn my flash off or I get little dots of light on the picture. This works so much better than it has any right to (although Zeiss lenses have been really good since before World War II). As I recall it was really cheap, too.

The lens is acceptable,but the iPhone has its limitations when you use these telephoto lenses. Not so with the wide angle lens, this one is very good.

It's a great lens! I'd love that ZEISS would make more variety of focal length ones too. They should keep in mind that most iPhones have a screen protector and the ExoLens is perfectly made for when one does not have a screen-protector; making it very hard to put on and off, and even chipping the screen-protector or scratching the rubber inside the ExoLens to manage to get it on.

I write two review in one. The first one is about sellers which I rated as ONE star and second is about lens, which I rate as FOUR stars. So first review about sellers. I purchesed two lens wide angle (seller: EndlessTravelStore) and telephoto (SB Direct LLC), cuz it was such a nice price for NEW lens. When my parcel arrived and I open amazon box, I’ve seen two Zeiss boxes which was all in scratches and very bad sealed, you can say that it was opened before. So if you purchase this lens as a gift prepare yourself that box can be in very bad condition. But I’m not complicated about boxes, cuz it was not a gift, I bought for myself. But what really pissed me off that both lens, was very dirty. It’s bunch dust on the glass. It’s FINGER PRINTS on both lens on both sides of glass. It’s just ***** up. And you can see that this lens was mount before. So sellers sale used lens like a new one. So second part about lens. I’m a big fun of Zeiss and I rate this lens as 4 Star. The first u need to understand that you mount glass on the top of glass (iPhone lens). So it’s not a Zeiss issue (and I very hope that one day you can take of prime iPhone lens without any problems and mount some another like on SLR cameras). So no matter how good is Zeiss glass it won’t give you some incredible result (cuz u mount glass on top of glass). But it have antireflection coat which help you to shoot at sunny day, plus telephoto Zeiss lens gave you more quality than when you use just a standard option zoom in your iPhone camera. Another thing which I don’t like it’s a how lens shade and caps mount. The rear caps it’s a rubber small caps. Why the Zeiss can’t make it from metal and make like a screw mount cap. Front cap and shade. I like that Zeiss made shade from metal in a good Zeiss tradition, but why it’s mont by the rubber gasket. Why Zeiss don’t make bayonet like he do on Planar lens for SLR? Same with front cap. Rubber gasket can work only temporary.

Its a snug fit on the camera. Beware, the mount will not go in even if you have a screen protector mounted on the camera. Its very German, you follow the instructions, do as told, its mounts fine, stays there, and takes amazing shots. Color render and clarity is amazing, you won't believe the shots are taken by the same iPhone. I got it on a clearance discount so I am even happier.

Love the lens but the mounting bracket is not very good. Plus you can't use a phone case with it.

Purchased this immediately before a trip along the CA coast and was extremely pleased with the results. I’m no expert on optics, but this did precisely what I wanted. The lack of a fifth star was because it would have been impractical without also purchasing the matching case.

Get them while their available! Exolens will no longer make these lens, and, as a cinematographer, these lens cause almost 0 distortion and are super clear. Worth the money as they used to be 200 dollars. Only get the Carl Zeiss models from exolens
