I bought this watch to replace my 6-year-old Garmin Instinct. I had a watch face protector on the old one never got a scratch. So far, I really like the Instinct 3 Solar 45mm. Of course I purchased watch face protection with this one as well. I like simplicity so this watch has more features than I will use and that is okay. I am handing down my original Instinct to my Grandson and hope he gets a few more years out of it. If this Garmin lasts as long as my first one, It will be well worth the money. I like Garmin products, and hopefully their quality will stay the same.

You have to program alarms on the watch not on the app.

Love it, once you figure it out, it's great. GPS works very well, wide variety of activities you can track. One key piece of advice... got to the Garmin site and download the PDF guide... you could go blind reading the type in the manual that comes in the package..

Use it all the time, solar is a great addition!

Bought it to replace apple watch ultra. Gives me the same functionality as apple same notifications just not as many "interactive" options with apps, in a simpler style. Battery life is AMAZING!! I go weeks without charging. Love the orange accent, quality is top notch!

Awesome outdoor watch

Far from rugged. Cheap feeling plastic body and the the screen isn’t even a glass material. Whatever material it is it scratches very easy. I have a few nasty scratches/scuffs within the first week and that’s just around the house and I baby the watch trying to make sure it stays nice. For 400 plus $ expected it to be more rugged like they claim. Should’ve just stuck with a gshock at least they are truly rugged.

Excellent purchase! Provides everything one could want in a watch and then more. Notifications appear from everywhere so best to turn some of them off.
