Solid Brass Double Hose Connector for Outdoor Tap and Garden Hoses – Snap On Y Garden Tap Fitting

The first thing I noticed was how well made and sturdy this brass tap splitter was. I was already pleased with my purchase on first impression. I purchased this brass splitter to replace a plastic splitter that had split due to me leaving it out all winter. I decided to purchase this brass one so I can leave it connected all year round. I'm sure it's going to last a long time. It was easy to fit to our tap it sealed straight away with no leaks. We then attached our two hoses both fitted perfectly both different connectors one brass one plastic as shown in my photos. Both worked perfectly. The splitter has two valves to enable you to be able to control the flow of water to either side. Initially the valves were a little stiff but soon became easy to use to provide smooth operation. I would definitely recommend this brass splitter it's well made and definitely doesn't leak. At a great price too. I do hope you found my review helpful.

Under other conditions I would have probably purchased Hozelock’s 2 way tap connector but the proximity of a rainwater down pipe to the tap limits the available space. This Y splitter fits the available space and provides the dual output. The splitter appears to be well manufactured with the cast body and subsequent machining of good quality. The quarter turn ball valves are stiff to operate but importantly don’t leak when closed. How they will be after a season’s use only time will tell. Two issues with the splitter are the absence of a flow regulator and the (obvious) angle at which the two outlets are angled. You can use the closure valves to control the flow to a limited extent but this is not ideal. If you are connecting two hoses to the splitter then the angled outputs are not an issue, but if you just want to fill a watering can then it can be difficult especially as the flow from a part open valve is not a “clean” flow but tends to spray out.

Sadly its intended purpose was to use with a cat scarer, however that turned up broken so went back to Amazon. The tap adapter though it brilliant and looks to be very high quality with decent seals and the ability to shut off each outlet independently. Fitment to the outdoor tap was easy and no leaks to report.

Good quality robust item which fits well with no leaks

This works very well as I have no leaks or drips at all. The only criticism I have is that the tap levers are a little small and can be difficult to grip. There are times that I can not turn them on as they are rather too stiff and have stuck shut. I keep a pair of players near these taps in order to overcome this problem.

Excellent product. Fits flawlessly to the tap screw-on bit and much better than the plastic rubbish one can acquire from famous brands as these brass ones are solid, don't leak (I've purchased 2 so far and not had any issues) and don't break in a hurry. Recommended!

An excellent piece of brasswork except that my aging fingers cannot turn the mini taps.
