WORTH THE MONEY!!!
As a retired, licensed and professional cosmetologist.... I'm usually very negative toward most of the "at home" curlers and tools. My hair is long (past the small of my back), bleached, and obviously not the healthiest.. I decided to give this a go, as my hands and arms have started to not tolerate curling and styling like they used to. I did not test it on wet hair, because that's a no no. But, with professional product and fully dried hair, THIS THING CURLS! It gives wand level tight curls, on hard to curl hair, with minimal effort. There's a small learning curve for not getting everything tangled, but once you're past that, it's a breeze! It didn't take any longer than usual to curl my whole head which is THICK. It didn't speed up the process, but it certainly took the drag and aches out of it! There is no heat adjustment minus the low and high setting, but my hair feels food and looks shiny. Obviously continued use will cause heat damage, but for the occasional styling, this is perfect. I'll test the longevity of the curls and update if need be, but as of now the effort was minimal, and the curls truly are salon quality and beautiful!

Beautiful lasting curls at a good price
This one is my first curling automatic and it was so easy to use and the curls are beautiful and last more than 5 hours even though it looses a little bit the shape is beautiful. Highly recommended. This is a keep item for sure at a great price. No freeze at all.

Good concept with ok results
I was looking for something to help me save time on curling my hair as well as something that would be easier on my hands since I have RA. I own another brand straightener that has the spinner that does all the work for you and I love it, so I thought having this Kiss Instawave Automatic Hair Curler with the same technology would be a great addition to my beauty routine. The curler is lightweight and I love the diamond ceramic ionic technology that helps reduce frizz as well as the curl dial that has the ability to create left or right facing curls and the concept of the simple touch button that automatically pulls in and spins and curls your hair. The issue I am having with this hair curler is that even though I have thick long hair the Kiss Instawave does not want to take my hair to roll it into the curler to spin it. I always ensure that I am placing my strands into the appropriate space allocated for the iron to wrap my hair but it starts to spin and my hair falls out, it seems as though the more conditioned and softened my hair is the more of an issue I have. With this issue it is taking me much longer to try to curl my hair and the curls do not seem to be as long lasting. I do like the concept of this product and I am going to continue using it in hopes that perhaps I can eventually get it to work as great as my straightener but I do feel that the price might be a tad high for the performance of the product.

WOW! just WOW! pleasantly surprised- works w/ LONG hair!
I think KISS is the best kept secret and hidden gem for a brand. Recently started using their glue on nails w/ salons being closed b/c of the COVID19 and have gotten numerous compliments. Then I found this when doing a different search. Where has this been all my life? ok so as I always put in reviews the backstory as it is always needed in order to give full details: I have very long hair that hits my waist. It is overall straight and healthy but still needs to be smoothed w/a blow drier just to not look like bed head. so I did blow dry before using this product. With hair being this long, curls or bouncy styles keeping their shape and holding up is not always possible and I always take that into consideration so always have realistic expectations as well. I have a curls stick now about the same diameter and it's OK of course but I do often have to bend my arms in interesting ways in order to get all the areas of my head w/the long hair. and I have to wear a little glove to protect my fingers, etc. So this product has a fairly short barrel as far as length goes. So pretty much figured my long hair would not be the optimal way to use this or that I would only get a curl at the ends, etc. I was WRONG. the key is, to load the piece of hair in at the area for which you want the curl to stop. In other words if you want it half way, start w/the device in that position half way up the strand. if you want the whole strand, then start w/the device close to the scalp b/c you can't really move it around later so get the spot you want your curls to extend to as far as distance from scalp and simply put the strand in and push the button. if curling away from your face, push the left button for the left side and the right button for the right side. it then beeps when you should let the curl out and you just pull down gently and DONE! this is the easiest thing to use. I really thought this may just be a gimmick. I have tried eyeliner stamps and eyebrow stencils and I get so excited just to find out that something was a great idea in theory but in practice just not really that great or at least isn't for me. this was so surprising to me that it works so well. so why use this over the curl stick?: here is my PRO list 1. the curl ends up uniform and PERFECT each time. b/c of the device and winding in the same mechanical and controlled way, there is never reason to re-do anything. sometimes w/the curl stick even the most experienced person will get some wonky looking pieces or will twist it in an odd way when they are winding it. these are perfect each time 2. the little beep indicator lets you know when its time to release the curl and its actually really fast 3. speaking of fast, w/the two things mentioned above this cuts the time significantly that it would take to get the same type of style w/a stick 4. for loose waves you can either use bigger pieces or just comb thru it more when its done so you get the benefit of styling options w/just one tool 5. b/c it has the two buttons, you do not have to switch attachments from going from one side to the other. its all built in 6. While this is mechanical, is really is NOT bulkier than any other curl stick and does NOT weigh more either. so can travel and use just as one would use their curl stick. and NO glove needed. 7. this prevents having to move your arms all over the place trying to twist into perfect position to curl own hair 8. this is one of those life hacks that is well worth the price and to be honest I would have paid more 9. for anyone that likes to use a curl stick, this would make a GREAT gift 10. as far as how long the curls last, that is also on point. I would say it is equal to how long they would last usually (again those w/shorter hair prob last longer) and they maybe even last longer than usual for me considering the curls are uniform and even...meaning the heat was applied evenly to all areas when initially used 11. don't let the length fool you...some how my long strand gets wound ALL the way and I can get a curl that goes all the way from scalp to tip if I want. am not sure how it does it but it works I always give detailed reviews and always make a con list. even if its being picky I always list some negatives just to be thorough to really give folks all the info before they buy. I can't think of ONE negative here. it even heats up fast to initial use and has 2 heat settings too.

Easiest/quickest pro-tip hair tool!
I first bought this product in 2016 and again in 2020 after the power started flickering on/off and stopped working (but I think it served it's time well over 4 years of near-daily use!). 4 years since repurchasing and it's still working great. Only [mild] grief is that over time the spinning prongs began to snap off, but still works decently! I just have to feed my hair into the primary/front prong closest to the barrel before spinning (vs. I could previously do this one-handed by holding the curler to my head/hair and the spin button would grab/feed the hair and hold it for me). Came back to this product to repurchase for the convenience of having those extra prongs (and $50 doesn't feel like an unreasonable splurge to repurchase after 4 years). The curler has 2 rotating options and 2 heat settings (high/low), but I've only used the low due to having thin/fine hair. It's never, ever damaged my hair and is super great at 'polishing' any frizz/dry-looking hair w/a quick run through. If I'm trying to reduce heat damage on my hair, I'll often just add bigger sections for less amount of time, just to smooth it out and add some body. I can literally use this tool mindlessly due to being able to feel/physically control the rotating/spin button and w/o reliance on a mirror to carefully feed pieces into the barrel/insert. For every day/causal use, I can just run the curler around my head, letting it grab pieces and letting go. Def brush hair before trying this method, but if it does tangle/get caught, just use the other rotation button to unwind it. I would NOT recommend my lazy one-handed technique w/more textured/thicker hair or it WILL tangle. My hair is VERY straight and will go flat nearly instantly after using a normal curling iron. Somehow, I can curl my hair with this thing once a week and it will literally last the whole week w/o really needing a touchup. Idk how it works, but I LOVE IT!

NOT as easy as they make it seem... this goes in the hair tool graveyard.
I have super long, straight, thin/fine, smooth hair that doesn't hold curls well. I have bought so many different hair tools over the years to make curling easier that inevitably go in a bin and are never used again. I bought this Kiss Instawave Curler because of the good reviews, and now it lives in the discarded hair tool bin. The price is VERY reasonable compared to some other automatic curlers on the market. The instructions are clear and after reading them and watching several videos, I decided to give it a try. It is NOT that easy... My hair is so soft/smooth that it kind of just flops around the barrel and doesn't get a good curl going. By the time I get it wrapped, I get uneven heat exposure to the whole strand with MOST of the heat in the ends (not good). My hair also ends up wrapping weird so I don't get a uniform ringlet but rather a kind of cyclone... I also end up getting some hair stuck in the tool which is my absolute worst nightmare. I really had hoped to love this, but it just didn't work for me and I gave it a good college try. After this, I bought a Beachwaver and even though it's more expensive, it is worth it. The Beachwaver does what I had hoped the Kiss Instawave would do. So if you are looking for an automatic haircurler that's easy to use and makes beautiful curls every time without damaging your ends, I DON'T recommend buying this one. I would recommend spending the extra money and getting a Beachwaver instead. Hope this helps!

The good, the bad, the ugly
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly I have found the next best thing! It it such a time saver! I am in love and I don't care who knows! But...like all true loves...they have their flaws! The Kiss Products Instawave Automatic Hair Curler, curls your hair so fast and nice it has to be seen to be believed. After the first time I used it I sounded like an infomercial because I loved it so much. However, there are a few flaws you should be aware of before using this product. The Good I get the perfect curl in less than 10 minutes! I have long thick hair and curling my hair usually takes me a really long time and I am always getting my fingers burnt trying to twirl the curling iron...I know, I know...I'm a blonde and you'd think I'd learn not to burn myself! This curling iron twirls it and counts the time it's in your hair giving you a consistent look throughout your hair. The Bad It only works on longer hair. If you have shorter hair it won't pick it up in the twirling device. The Ugly No matter how fast this thing goes you cannot be lazy! If you are trying to do it all at once or with thick strands of hair you are not going to be happy with the results. If you rush through it and you don't put your hair back into sections it can and will pick up any hair in its path. This can cause your hair to tangle and quite possibly burn if you can't get it out quick enough. How to use the Kiss Products Instawave Automatic Hair Curler The video that they give on Amazon gives a perfect example of how to use this product. Section off your hair by clipping the top part up and away. Take a small section of hair (about an inch thick...do not try to do more than that or you won't get the curl you want and you risk getting it caught in your hair!) and place it in front of the iron. Push the left arrow and let it curl your hair until it reaches the ends of your hair. It will beep after 10 seconds. Pull the iron straight down and viola! Perfect curl! You can also put the hair strand in the back of the curler and push the arrow to the right. Just make sure the ones that are in front of your face is curled with the hair in the front of the iron for the best look. After you have curled all of the hair on the bottom section, pin it back so it doesn't mix with the top half. (This is not only important for keeping the curled section separate, but also for keeping your hair from getting caught in the iron.)
