Has anyone sharpened this sword by hand. Wondering if it takes and keeps an edge well.

You're buying a "katana" thats the size of a machete. Despite how much I want to like this and other flashy Apoc swords like the gladius, its appeal is aesthetic, little more. My advice, find a real japanese co. offering real, folded, multi-annealed steel at the proper length, somewhere around 30". Anyone offering you a katana shy of 30" is skirting the real lore and taking advantage of you and wiki technicality. We wont even open up the can of worm of alloy compisition and forging technique, cause obviously those got thrown out with the baby's bathwater

Was the blade steel heat treated?

Does it matter? A 23.5" "Katana" is a fkn joke. If it were 30" I... might... consider. Most katanas are around 36". If they called this a ninja sword it might describe it accurately.

Does this come with the original and full manufactures warranty?

I did not find any warranty. I will say, though.. Its a solid piece.

Does it have a good grip?

G10 handles are smooth yet extremely grippy
