My seat post is 27.2mm and it fitted easily. It does seem that it will fit different size posts without trouble.

How do you attach this to the saddle rails? I've been trying to work it out for the past hour, is it really a case of forcing the middle bit to bend?

I found taking it apart and re-assembling it around the saddle rails worked for me. The bold has a square end that butts up against a round hole so it needs to be tightened a lot to grip. That all said, it has been on for 4 months now and has not budged a mm.
