UPDATE - still loving this Box, but the newer badly designed remote was doing my head in. Why ruin something that was perfect?So I have bought an older ’YouView’ remote on Amazon which is so much easier to use, and it works fine on this new EE TV Box proExtremely pleased with my purchase!The seller contacted me prior to posting to check thatI understood the technical and electrical things I would need.I confirmed that I already have one of these in my lounge, and this second one was for in my bedroom. Extremely easy to set up.Happy that BBC Iplayer, Netflix and Amazon Amazon Prime are already pre-loaded in the app section 😎The seller noted my request NOT to deliver it using Evri - as we all know how bad they are! - And he took note that I really wanted a delivery by Royal Mail as they have direct access into my block of apartments. Which he kindly did. An impressive service.And a great little recorder box.My only disappointment when buying this second model is that the numbers to switch channels etc are right at the bottom of the remote, so very fiddly and you need two hands to change channels.The older remotes have the numbers higher up , which make life much easier.However, this is only a minor frustration, and overall it works like a dreamAnd of course… on this newer model you can record four programmes all at the same time, instead of just two programs on the previous model. Amazing. 🥰

Delighted with it . Easy to set up. It does what it promises. My only complaint is that the operating instructions are very sketchy. Fortunate!y I had used a Youview box before and was able to use it, but if not familiar with its functions it may prove difficult to operate.

I am happy with this, especially as it records 4 programmes at once. There is no preference setting though, the clock is in 12 hour mode and no way to change it to 24. Much better than my previous Manhattan box and a lot cheaper.

Special thanks to TopGeezer for providing excellent and easy to follow step by step instructions to supplement manufacturer's information booklet. TopGeezer also provided patient guidance and assurances.Must confess that I only opted for Freeview as the manufacturers of my trusted Freesat recorder had stopped making replacements.Professional installers could not resolve why the new Freesat recorder provided by them could not accept and resolve signal issues. The aerial output plug into the TV was providing an excellent Freeview video but the new Freeview recorder could not process this same signal data when aerial removed from the TV and inserted into the recorder.Followed TopGeezer's .important first stage. Not needing an aerial connection on the ground floor I was able to update the TV Box Pro directly to the router on the first floor.Connected HDMI cable from recorder to TV, aerial connection to recorder and its mains transformer. Easy to follow on screen instructions enable set-up to be completed. Large selection of stations shown from the device "Guide" button. Tested record system and all working well. Slight disappointment in that there seemed to be a deterioration in the image quality on both live and recorded programs.I had read warnings about not being able to fast forward adverts if I opted for Freeview via an internet connection. Needed to try this alternative because of the direct image quality.Fewer Freeview stations were available through the internet connection procedure but a random selection of those chosen provided a first class video images. No problem fast forwarding through test recordingss from several programmes recorded simultaneously from different channels.BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime checked and able to log on and receive high quality videoUsed a high quality coaxial cable to link from output of the TV Pro Box to the input of the TV. This provided high quality images to the TV when the Freview recorder is turned offSpent a little more time than expected to get a perfect installation and now very pleased with the end result

I love it when a plan comes together.Arrived day and half early. Left where instructions said too. Good job postman.Solidly packaged.Smart looking bit of kit.Clear and precise instructions. In fact idiot proof.Following the simple but precise instructions, I was up and running in 20 minutes. You can sign up for a subscription but not necessarily. It is if you want premium channels I.e. Sky Sports/movies but not for me.Lovely picture and remote does it all.This box was half the price of my previous Freeview(Humax Aura) which often lagged and never missed a chance to put up a channel, trying to tempt me to subscribe to some other channel.EE is not like that.I love it and good luck to them with this product.It does exactly what it’s supposed to which from my experiences is a rarity.My faith has been restored, long may it last.

I bought this box for an aged friend who was recently obliged to move and previously had a subscription box. Really good pre-sales service and advice to ensure I knew what I was ordering and very quick despatch and delivery.The unit came with quite explicit instructions for setting up and were easy to follow, so I set it up at home before taking it to my friend's for final installation. It worked immediately upon connection and didn't even need retuning.She has free WiFi in her little apartment and I was able to easily connect to that and get her sorted with a minimum of fuss.

I'm the first to complain to any makers about their products that don't operate as discribed and generally do. In a good way, I feel a bit cheated as I can't find any faults with my EE TV BOX. Now I've had for 4 weeks, I've finally mastered the navigation, and it's an absolute dream. As I'm in my 80s, I do not want streaming, Netflix or any internet of any sort,(which I cannot get now anyway, as I set up with a non EE router). All I want is to record and watch freeview programs. I can and do watch news and other programs on freeview when I require. I have set up and recorded 4 programs at the same time while watching a fith prerecorded or freeview program just as stated, fantastic, the age of technology!!!. All with the facility of 1 TB hard drive storage. My previous other brand wouldn't control the tv. Their technology expert told me my tv was to old. Not true (as my first pvr did control the tv. so I returned. The ee pro controls everything. Just what I wanted, one remote for all functions. The remote buttons are instant change, not like the previous that took 3 to 4 seconds for each function! This unit cost me £108, what a bargain, when other brands that don't have as many facilities start around £300. I keep an eye on latest sales, and this model is selling many every day and regularly out of stock for new ones. I really enjoy using this recorder now I know how. I'm like a kid with a new toy. At this point in time, this is the best and most advanced recorder I have ever bought I AWARD THIS RECORDER 6 STARS, THANKS EE FOR A GREAT PRODUCT. S. TOON
