Why is this listed under jack stands?

On many cars, the lift points are downfacing sheet metal tabs. If you take a hockey puck and slice a 1/4" wide groove, 1/2" deep, the groove fits right over the lift tab when the puck is sitting on top of a jack stand cradle. Easy, safe and quick way to support your car without damaging the lift tab.

I've never tried stacking them as I only have one, my only concern with stacking them is that it may make themunstable, maybe if you secure them first with some kind of strong glue.
