I ordered this backgammon set specifically to use when traveling so please keep that in mind when reading this review. I looked at many different sets before ordering and thought I had written down the proper measurements but when I received this set I was a little surprised that it was bigger than expected. Going back to the measurements it is exactly as advertised 11x7.5 closed. This is slightly larger than the zippered backgammon sets found on Amazon which are 9.125x7. The weight is 1 pound 14oz for this set vs 1 pound 9 oz for the zippered set. See my attached photos to see if the difference matters to you. I know it doesn't seem like a big difference but in the hand or shoving it into my backpack it did seem to matter. To use in your home or a situation where you aren't tight on space (an RV or car travel) this is a great option. That being said, I am very impressed with this "Get The Games Out" set. It is very well made, includes nicely printed colored game instructions as well as a special tip's booklet and is nicely boxed. You would not be embarrassed to give this as a gift. I did order a smaller set for my travel (I tend to pack a lot so every ounce and inch counts, especially in my carry on backpack) but I think I will keep this set and give it as a gift because it is really that nice.

The set is well made with nice complementary colors. However, the tokens or chips are too small for the slot and slide around. Either the chips should have been made wider or the slot to hold them made shorter.

I love the game of Backgammon! I played it a long time ago with other friends and family! My original game was lost over the years. I purchased 4 of them as Christmas gifts for a friend and my boys! I also purchased one for myself and am enjoying it! A great game!

This set gets 5 stars because of its low price. It is definitely an average set - the outside vinyl was wrinkled on one side, but no tears. All the pieces are good - again average quality. If looking for a gift, rather than for yourself, perhaps look at other sets for quality. I wanted one for myself - so this is just fine!

Excellent quality. Case comes in a cardboard box for protection which can either be kept of discarded. The leather case is beautiful, and the inner sections well reenforced. There are extra playing pieces and dice in a small plastic bag, in the event that some become lost. It would be helpful is there were more explicit "rules of the game" as part of the package, as the information provided was a bit scant. Good value.
