The activeingredients are hydrocortisone 1% and clioquinol 1% which have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties commonly used to treat skin infections. The other Ingredients are: Petrolatum, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Glycerin, Lanolin, Tocopherol Acetate Kind regardsHartley SutcliffeDermoscribe

Q: Does it have "clioquinol"? Does it have other benefits besides controlling itching?

It is a cream of petroleum jelly thickness It has 1 percent hydrocortise, 1percent clioquinol and zinc oxide. I am 74 and apply very small amounts to the area around my anus twice a day. I have no problem with burning or itching and I have noticed no swelling in the area. It also does not stain. General articles involving the ingredients do state that you need a prescription for it, but I have bought it for years without one. Use commom sense, apply it in very small amounts. Do not apply it if you have bleeding or broken skin. Most articles say not to use it if you have diabetes.
