Can it fire kosher salt (thicker grain)?

Love this bug-a-salt 3.0 . It's works perfect as long as you are good shot. It turns into game honestly but remember you are shooting salt everywhere so just keep that in mind but it works as it should . Buying more for friends . 100% would recommend if anything practice your aim . Win win

Will it kill, or at least slow down, Water bugs/cockroaches?

Tiny little field roaches, …… yes if muzzle is few inches away from roach. Larger sewer roaches , No as they have a protective top shell,……. Not enough power. Years ago I had a conversation with one of the designers of Bug Assult and tried to encourage him to come out with a powerful model that would kill scorpions and larger roaches. He said increasing the power would skyrocket the liability of misuse, and not an option! Too bad!
