Works very well with my Chiappa Rhino .357
I bought this after seeing it featured on InRangTV, who was shooting the same type of pistol I own, a Chiappa Rhino .38sp/.357. I already owned a speed loader, plus the Rhino takes ammo in Moonclips. This speed loader has replaced both options as my preferred.

5 Stars but returned it.
This is a very well made Speed Loader. It uses the same mechanism you'll find on speed loaders except it is spring/plunger actuated. I wanted to love this and have it replace multiple speed loaders but I have a S&W 686 Competitor with Hogue grips and the grips, NOT the loader prevent it from lining up perfectly for a seamless drop into the chamber. I took it to the range and tried it out but it's just too tight a fit to load the chamber without possible one or two rounds not dropping. I'm writing the review because your instances may vary. I'd buy it again should I change my grips as it literally is 3 speed loaders in one. I do recommend it.

Fantastic product for revolver guys
Amazing product, loading is extremely simple. Can hold both 38 special and 357 Magnum. Great for range use. Reloads are quick after you get the hang of it. Price is great and works great on my vintage Taurus and s&w. The item seems sturdy enough for casual use, but I wouldn't want to drop it on a hard surface after it's empty. This is an item you definitely want to pocket after it goes empty, instead of just letting it fall to the ground. Item is large but not heavy at all. It doesn't come with a belt pouch or anything, but perhaps a flashlight holder could keep one of these loaders.

A fun and novel range accessory, but not for EDC.
It's a unique design, which I must give it credit for. And it works as advertised... when it works. My caveat would be, I strongly advise against using this for every day carry. Stick to range use only. Not only is it somewhat bulky to carry, but the release mechanism has given me hang-ups on one too many occasions. Maybe my cylinder doesn't swing out far enough, or my grips get in the way such that I have to angle it slightly to align the ammo, but I've had repeated instances where one or two rounds fail to release. And I shutter to think of that in a real defensive scenario. So it's just too unpredictable in my book. Also, the plastic has developed a few chips, and an alignment peg broke off, and I've only had the product for a couple weeks, and handled it very gently. So, to me it's a toy. Good to speed up range reloads, but that's it. Not terribly expensive, so I don't regret it. And I do appreciate it can be converted to a more traditional single reload configuration. But the functionality problem still stands. I do hope to see more of this design in the future. Maybe one with a push button or twist release, to help ensure functionality. And use tougher plastic, or even aluminum. Until then, for field use, I'd stick to what's tried and true.

Buy now!
This is pretty awesome. It really does hold 18 rounds and just a neat speed loader.

Fast and Convenient
Fast, easy and convenient reloads. I load it up before heading to the gun range. I usually share a lane at the range so when I’m done shooting I reload this speed loader to be ready for my turn. I now have the 5-shot and a 6-shot loader.

Nice Idea Poorly Executed
I bought it and tried it. It's a fun idea but has lots of issues: Safety: they don't mention until you receive the instructions that you can't use FMJ with it or it could ACCIDENTALLY DISCHARGE. Which makes sense, because the projectile tips are just *slamming* right into the primers in front of them at high speed. I don't care if they say hollow point is safe with this reloader, and maybe it is: it just doesn't seem like safety was built into the design. Practical use: if the point is to have 18 speedloads ready instead of 6, where are you putting this reloader after your first and second reloads, during an actual shooting engagement? Back in your pocket? Holding it in your free hand? You'll need to go back to the reloader for those rounds. But a speedloader in an emergency, life-threatened situation should be something you use once and toss aside, not something you have to hold onto to get to the rest of your ammunition. So this reloader is really more of a range toy. Nothing wrong with that, but it would never be useful in an active shootout, and standard 6 (or 5) shot speedloaders are far more practical. Quality: this thing is made of cheap plastic. It comes with what they describe as a detachable 6-shot speedloader that you have to unscrew to use. Well, they made the screws insanely tiny, and as tight as humanly imaginable. When I tried unscrewing the separable loader, I had to apply so much force that my screwdriver slipped and tore through the plastic top of the loader, making the whole toy unusable. So that extra feature is out. I watched a video of a guy trying to unscrew it and he had the same issue.

Turned around and bought another one
This speed loader is awesome! Saw a review on YT, took a chance and bought one because they're inexpensive. I have many of the others. Very impressed...I turned right around and bought another one. Works well, not fiddly, and carries a lot of rounds in a small space. With specials, it does rattle the rounds around inside which others have noted as well. Haven't tried magnums yet but maybe they fill the gap inside and reduce noise. Otherwise, no issues. Flat speed-strip designs won't disappear from my lineup because they are flat and portable, but these are great to pre-load for the range, work quickly, and hold 18 rounds!

Amazed -- something practjcal that works great
This is a great product. 3 speedloaders in one - great for competition use. Works smoothly with my S&W 14 and my Ruger Security Six. Handles just like a safariland comp III, but one step ahead with three loads in one.

Doesn’t work as advertised
Unable to be used as advertised. Rounds are to loosely packed, spring for top not providing enough tension
