Easy to put together! Very sturdy! All fasteners needed are included.
The stairs came on time and perfectly described! There were a couple items in the box that I thought I forgot to put on, but this particular one comes with parts for a couple different applications, so don't panic if you have left over parts, too, lol! Directions were easy to follow and once I got it together I just placed it in the pool so it could fill with water. (I didn't use sand). For us, a 4X4 (I think 24" long) piece of wood was perfect to put under the support arms (that face away from the pool at the bottom of the ladder hand-rails when you are entering the pool, the support arms that you secure to the deck of your pool) because we have weird rails on our above ground pool, so we could only lower them so far. The 4X4 fit perfectly. I secured the wood to the deck, and secured the support arms to the 4X4. Works perfectly for a family of four and has stayed in place and doesn't wobble. Highly recommend.

Nice pool steps
Nice pool steps. Easy to assemble & attach to wood deck. Used a sand bag on each side to hold it down & it stayed in place perfectly, not a speck of sand leaked out. Wide steps & incline made getting in & out much much easier than a regular pool ladder. Easy enough to remove at the end of season. I was hesitant about purchasing online but am glad I did. Steps look nice with the pool. Very pleased with the purchase & I would definitely recommend & would also buy again if needed.

Quality Steps for Pool
I like these steps very much. They are extremely easy to put together. The hand rails are sturdy, contrary to what I've read about other types of pool steps. I can't say enough about the design of these steps. That being said, I did do some tweaking of my own. 1. First off there aren't enough holes in these steps for the water to get in. The weight of the water is suppose to keep the steps on the bottom of the pool. That didn't happen, they tended to float around the pool. Granted you're suppose to add sand into the frame, but according to the directions the pool would sit on the bottom with the water weight. I drilled a lot more holes all throughout the steps. 2. Second I didn't like the idea of the sand. Because I live alone, I need to get the steps in and out of the pool by myself to winterize the pool. So I figured the steps would be too heavy with 40 pounds of sand and the water to get them out of the pool. What I did was create a "shelf" underneath the steps. I bought 10' X 1 inch PVC and cut it into three pieces the width of the steps. I then drilled holes in each piece and zip-tied them in between the rails of the steps. I then was able to use three stone pavers, or any other type of weight, to sit on the "shelf" and hold the steps down. 3. Third, the steps, as a whole, are very heavy with the water in them. I discovered its easier to take the steps apart in the pool and take the pieces out one by one instead of trying to pull the steps out as a whole piece. All in all, I love these steps. They are so much safer than the old fashioned ladder I use to have. Anyone or anything (animals) would be able to get out of the pool should they accidentally fall in. I hope my input helps anyone who purchase these. I say experiment with the steps before you permanently attach them and see what works best for you.

Stairs very well made and easy to put together
Easy to install and all parts were delivered. The stairs are really nice and make entering/ exiting the pool very easy. Make sure to purchase the weight bags. You need at least 20lbs to hold the stairs down. I used pebbles instead of sand.

Great set of stairs.
The stairs are really worth purchasing. We live in Zone 5 so have to take the stairs out for the winter to empty of water and store in the garage so they won't freeze. The instructions have you fill a certain area with pool filter sand to weight them down. We would never have been able to get them out of the pool if we had done that so we just tied 10 lb. weights around the bottom of each railing and it works perfectly. We just cut the weights off and then pulled the stairs out. The railings are not as sturdy as I would have liked if someone has the need to put alot of weight on them.

Terrible Design! Do not purchase!
I needed a "self locking" ladder for my pool and the Blue Wave Easy Pool Step Entry System always came up in my online searches and it appeared pretty good. And for the $600 I spent on it I figured it must be somewhat decent. Well, I learned the hard way this ladder is horrible and I would give it no stars if I could. First, the pool side steps wouldn't sink. Even after putting in the 40 pounds of sand that the instructions say. The steps would not sink! I had to pour concrete into the base of the steps in order for it to finally sink! Some of the screws in the packing were the wrong size and some of the plastic parts were poorly cut. I also found out the 'self locking gate" doesn't work. The whole point of this gate, is when you open the gate and walk into or out of the pool, it will close behind you. Well, the gate doesn't even move. It'll only close if you slam it shut and even then it often doesn't want to close. The ladder simply is not made properly. The instructions are of little use either as there are plenty of black and white pictures that are so poor it's difficult to see what they are trying to depict. I had my pool inspection and the first thing he said when he saw my pool was that ladder has to go. For $600 on amazon, I just can't believe a company can sell something of such POOR quality that doesn't even work as adevertised.

Sturdy step. I did not assemble it so I cannot comment on that. But it looks great. Took a few weeks for it to settle flat even with the sand inside. Suggest purchasing side weights.

Thanks so much! We assembled the step and it looks great! We can't try it out as the water in our pool seems to think it needs to freeze here in the middle of the winter. I hope it can stand up to our climbing in and out of the pool in June. Love it!

We were looking for a set of steps into our inground pool that were wide and sturdy. We are so happy with this purchase.

Did everything the manufacturer suggested including adding sand to the rails for weight, sand seeps out makes a mess in the pool, will have to replace this year. Junky plastic!
