Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Value for many is good.
This item works good after cleaning of bearing areas, lubrication and adjustment. Unfortunately, it does not keep bearing adjusted status for longer time during the milling procedures.

The cast iron parts are OK
The 3 iron castings were good. Lead screws straightened in lathe with lead hammer chucking on 10mm part. Soldered on bearing flanges (washer) to lead screw and machined one face square to axle for bearing contact. These type of thrust bearings are lousy for radial support and cause binding no matter what. One bearing had wedge! Lapped Acme nuts with 320. Split one nut and drilled cross slide for set screws to tighten nut fit on both axes. The original grads were very unsatisfactory to me. Printed out 80 grad/rev drum stickers. Clear packing tape applied on both sides for .010" thickness. Milled .020 slot for index mark in aluminum and filled with black paint. Just subtract .001 for every turn in your head. Made t-nuts, but tiny clamping kit is from Ebay 3" rotary table kit. Nice and smooth now with finger tip turning and 18 hours or so dinking with lathe, mill, metal saw, paper PC printer. Old retired dude (ORD) project for sure. Oh, backlash is less than .005"~OK. Used # 6000r bearing. I just think it is management over there that don't give the workers time to do it right ever. Nice true casting machining worth the $90.

Works fine, esp for this price. Requires some prep work after receiving.
If you want a simple work table to use, especially for your drill press, this is a great table to consider and purchase. I found it to be accurate enough for what I am going to do with it. Is this something to use a professional machine shop and for cranking out a ton of parts? No -- but that should be apparent by the price point. The table requires some prep work once it arrives. This is what I did: 1) Unwrapped and sprayed it down with brake cleaner to get all the nasty oil/grease off 2) Disassembled the entire unit and sprayed it down again 3) Took a wire brush to all the channels and guide areas to remove excess paint 4) Sanded down the top deck to make sure it was truly flat 5) Filed down all the spacers in the channel guides to remove any burrs 6) Took a dremel with a sanding drum and knocked down all the edges 7) Reassembled and greased the guides

Better than expected
I read the reviews on this and kinda excited the worst, I could see it was completely fixable. Got mine took it all apart and really nothing was wrong I polished it up a bit put a shim on 1 of the bearings and adjusted everything as tightly as possible set it up. Works really well only tried couple small things. I do wish it was a little bigger.

Good for the price
Needed complete disassembly, cleaning and some filing which is what I expected. it's a lot of tool for the price. The travel is mostly smooth.

The good, the bad, and the ugly of this table
I have never submitted a review before but this experience has been unique. I am a machine shop owner, engineer, and kind of handy with tools. (Not blowing my horn here, I goof up just like everyone else). I bought this as I needed a little x-y table for my basement workshop. It seemed robust from the description- I took note of another reviewer describing rough edges but that didn’t phase me as these inexpensive Chinese tools are often rather rough in nature. The good- the little table is solid, rather heavy, but well designed and as far as I can tell machined accurately. The parts fit together well (more below) and operates smoothly. About a 3”x3” travel. The bad- if you have ever bought Chinese small machine items, you would be aware they are made from the lowest grade cast iron available. I also have a Chinese lathe and small mill- same cast iron. It is very soft compared to tooling made in the US. But for home use, suitable. I let this pass. The edges on every part were sharp and rough- I expected this from another review and knew I would take it apart to clean it up. I let this pass too. The ugly- the table I got was put together all wrong. It was as if the person doing assembling was given a box of parts with no instructions. The Gibbs were dead loose- both ways rocked a lot. (Just an adjustment issue). The two tables moved in the wrong direction when turning the hand wheel because the assembly had the leadscrews reversed. Also one of the bearings was not installed properly and had to be replaced. I replaced all four bearings and problem solved. At the end, after spending some time, this is a really nice little table which is solid and operates smoothly. After cleanup and lubrication, all is good. I probably should have sent this back but knew the next one would need some work as well to clean it up. At the very least, would need to take apart and clean all the rough edges. I took this as a challenge to finish what should have been done at the factory. One final note- the x-y table is at 90 deg. That is a big deal as I have seen other Chinese products where the axis is not perpendicular. This one is. At the end, all ok. It’s a good table but be forewarned that it might take a little effort to clean up before use.

Cordialement
