pantry staple, quick meal, eat alone, or add to other foods
I keep convenience packets on hand for quick meals, for emergencies, for variety. I like this curry with vegetables a lot. I have their mild and this spice. I buy both whenever they are on sale. I am not one for hot spicy, but this isnt hot. But it has good flavor. Japanese curry tends to have a hint of sweet, and this has that little bit of sweet that I expected. I like it at room temp direct from pouch, or warmed up and put over rice, or a potato, or chicken. Whatever. It is just good. :)

5 stars because it taste good!
I lived in Japan for 11 years. Curry and rice is my favorite food. While making curry from scratch is better, it also takes around an hour give/take to prepare...this was ready in a few minutes because I already had left over rice from the night before. This really is good...you canโt beat how convenient it is!!! I do wish it was a bit spicier but the flavor is solid! It is also full of veggies! I have tried several brands of these single serve, ready to eat curry and this brand is by far my favorite! Also the price is very affordable (at my local Asian store, they sell 1 package for almost $5 vs this being about $2 per package!)

Quick Japanese Curry Dinner
I purchased these for my daughter as she loves Japanese curry. The individual pouches are well packaged. Each package is quite durable in my opinion, so I was not worried about any of them opening accidentally. They are easily prepared by placing them in boiling water for a short period of time as noted on the package. I have boiled 2 at the same time in a large pot without issue. I do recommend caution though when removing them from the water as the package and contents are extremely hot and can easily burn your fingers. Best to wear an oven glove when squeezing the contents out. I usually prepare white rice and place the contents on top or to the side. Overall the taste is very good and I feel the ingredients are of good quality.

What's important to know is that the flavor is the greatest there's no comparison.
I like the fact that I don't have to cook to have great curry rice dishes since I can't cook. Restaurants that have curry dishes are very few, at least I haven't found any. And now with the ready made Curry sauce with vegetables definitely makes my day. I have tried other brands of ready to eat curry sauces but there is no comparison to the S&B brand. In Hawaii there are Curry Houses where they have the same kind of curry sauce and you just have them put whatever kind of meat you want in your curry sauce. With this S&B curry sauce (since it's ready to eat - just warm it up) you just add whatever cooked meat that you have and have a great meal. Well, yes you do need some rice but that is readily available in grocery stores. Enjoy the S&B curry sauce with vegetables and you can have it mild, medium or hot - it is great!

ใใใใใซใฌใผ! (Delicious Curry!)
I've been obsessed with Japanese curry since 2001. Where I live (the very remote state of NM), Japanese goodies are super rare (unless one lives in the rare larger cities, like Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Las Cruces). Unless I go out of state (to AZ or my homestate CA), I do not have access to Japanese staples. Sure, some stores carry one type of Curry, but it's the cheap stuff that has a lot of junk/poison in the ingredients. I bought this brand at Tokyo Central (West Covina, CA) this past March, but surely I did not buy enough! Which is why I am thrilled this is available on Amazon! *Cue happy dancing* I've already gone through 6 packets of this stuff. Even my son loves it (to him, it is spicy for his 5 1/2 year young tongue, ha ha!). I would say this is mild, which I honestly prefer, because I don't like heat to take away from any flavour. I do love this flavour of this curry. It tastes authentic to me. I like to add fried tofu or chicken to it, over rice. It's nice to have something instant when one does not feel like making their own curry roux & chopping up all the veggies. Ha ha! I'll definitely be buying more of this! Japanese curry is a comfort food to me.

Very light flavor, strange aftertaste
Packaging fell apart upon arrival. The sauce packets were undamaged which is good. Sadly I did not like the taste. The flavor is very light but still good. What put me off was the strange, moldy aftertaste. It's slightly less noticeable when microwaving vs boiling. Maybe I'm just not cooking it right

I love this stuff!
So, you can't toss these packets in the microwave so you have to boil them in hot water or empty the contents into a bowl, nuke and then add rice. But you need to empty the packet into a bowl eventually anyway so it still makes for a quick and easy curry meal. I will add beef or chicken sometimes if I feel like dressing it up but it really doesn't need it. I buy this in bulk and always keep at least half a dozen packets in the cupboard and if it gets below that I order more
